Found Ralph on Homestars, and explained a rather large project we were looking to get done. New floors on multiple levels, floor refinishing, and a new railing throughout 3 levels. We set a time and met him at his showroom. Ralph helped us pick a stain (hand delivered a multiple sample sets!), helped pick the flooring and the railing, and kept us up to speed on all aspects of the project via text, calls and pictures.

Given this was such a complex project, there were a couple of changes along the way, which Ralph explained and solutions were worked out very easily. Everything was fantastic and wouldn't hesitate to call Ralph again! Him and his crew treated our house as if it was their own. Thanks Ralph!!!

In June we renovated our main floor, and we hired Focus on Flooring to handle demolition (removal of tiles + old hardwood), installation of new flooring + staircase refinishing including new handrail/pickets. We contacted them to refinish our wood flooring. It was an unusual job in that there are no quarter rounds on the baseboards and stainless steel is flush to the floor in the kitchen. So the notion of zipping in and out with power sanders went out the door! Ralph came for a second consult and determined that all the edging would have to be done by hand. Pricing was competitive. The quality of the workmanship was superior. The job was not delayed. Outstanding work all around including a range of smaller jobs managed by Reuben and family that were just begging to be done! Ralph, Ruben and team did an excellent job completing a full renovation of the basement - installing new subfloor and laminate floor, trim and painting as well as new bathroom glass and wall/floor tiles. I found Ralph and Focus on Flooring via HomeStars. From start to finish, he and his team did a fantastic job replacing our floors. We changed the flooring in all rooms and one staircase in our 3 bedroom townhouse. They were on time every day, hardworking and courteous. The job took 7 days. A big shout out to project manager Rueben who took care of all of concerns. Our squeaky 40 year old staircase is a thing of the past. Lukas worked miracles replacing the staircase going down to our family room/basement. He was so good, we are booked to have him back to repair the squeaks in our staircase going upstairs to the bedrooms. I'd recommend Focus on Flooring without hesitation.

We put an impossible task - pick the flooring on the Sunday of a long weekend, order it on the Tuesday, install it by the time we move in on Friday. Ralph and Lukas did the job, and the end product looks phenomenal. Ripped out the broadloom and put in the engineered hardwood, also improving the squeaky floor we had. The work was very well done, and we are really happy with the end product.

On top of the great work, they really went out of their way to meet our ridiculous timeline, and we really appreciated it.
