Tollis Contracting

We have a two tier deck with an overhanging roof that is not properly supported. We hired Ryan to make it safe by installing 4 posts and improving the surrounding decking. He insisted on a large upfront payment as a deposit and to pay for the lumber required for the job. The lumber never arrived, and 7 weeks later all that had been done was 4 holes filled with some concrete. One days work. After every conceivable excuse as to why he wasn’t there doing the job, we decided to cancel the project. And another two months later, we have still not received any refund. My phone calls, texts, and IMs are being ignored.

We had the owner (Ryan) in for doing the following to our basement. Wanted drywall put up/taped/mud, ducts boxed, tiles installed in bathroom on floor/wall/backsplash, doors installed. He said he'd have a professional do the taping/mud and would otherwise be doing the majority of work himself. Instead he had some guy ( who clearly could not screw a screw if his life depended on it) putting up drywall ( to which is not even cut straight) while he was doing the putty/tape work. He/they never showed up on time and decided to start work at noon all the time... sometimes later. They would leave whenever they wanted for whatever reason ( had to get oil change, needEd to move his grandmother, his license got suspended, etc). He would tell me he'd be here at a certain date and time then not show up and would send a text 4 hours later saying he wasn't coming for whatever story he could come up with. And the work is HORRIBLE. So now we are out our money and over 3 weeks of wasted time and still have to hire someone else to come fix it first, then finish. I have 2 young kids and hey have no consideration for my time or my house as they walked through everything with boots on just after their "smoke break" with their butt left on my lawn. I would highly suggest to do not hire this company.
