Landscape lighting trouble shooting
The quote was 85 to diagnose the issues with the landscape lighting. When he arrives, the technician changed to say it will be 285 to fix. Less than an hour on site he diagnosed the problem has a bad transformer.
I asked by the diagnosis price increased to 285, he mentioned that is the cost, but this seems like a classic bait and switch!! 285/hr to test with a multimeter and spare transformer seems over priced.
Not happy, not impressed. I feel and know I've been ripped off.
Such a shame.

- Company Response
Hello Bryant,
It is unfortunate that you feel the way that you do. However, there is no "Bait & Switch" scenario that occurred. The $85.00 fee is charged for the electrician to assess the electrical issue, which the electrician diagnosed and corrected, the same day. The actual cost to fix the issue is $285, the assessment fee was not even charged, as we completed the work and corrected the issue within the same visit. I am sure there was a misunderstanding between the $85 charge, which is the assessment charge, AND the actual cost of the electrical issue which is $285. These are two separate costs. There are certain costs to providing a premium level of service and I hope I explained the scenario clearly, if not, please do not hesitate to call our office.Sincerely,
The TRON Team
