This news article says it all!! I may never see the money I lost again but the fact that these people were caught and charged with fraud is highly satisfying! Thank you OPS and RCMP!!!

Anthony owes me $20,000. Guess what? He has vanished!!
Yes he asked for payment before replacing roof.
Anthony also tries to offer "Other Services".
Disgusting!!!
While his team was working on the roof, Anthony thinks he is God's gift to woman. Yuck!!!
Any other women had an unfortunate event of this nature?

This contractor signed a contract and never showed up to do the work. They are not at the address they are advertising they are at. Do not recommend them to go anyway near your house.

Company insisted on payment up front. Despite my better judgement I agreed to the terms. A year later my roof is still not completed and the company is no longer reachable!

Signed a contract with this company and they took my deposit and now they are no where to be found. They are at the address shown on their website. They kept putting the job off due to rain. As of 11 months they have stopped responding.

Worst contracting experience I have had.
Signed contract in April, with work to be completed in 1 month. Spent the next 6 months arguing with them to start the work, and upon asking for refund they started. They replaced the roof, almost. And did not do any of the extra work I paid for $1000 extra. No drip edge, not sufficient caulking, did not replace flat portion of roof.
After first rain storm the roof leaks, no response from the company to fix. Save yourself and book with a professional roofing company.

Signed an agreement with Anthony for the project in August 2017, mid September had a visit from Anthony that job couldn't be done. Tried to sell us a whole newly constructed gazebo for $22K. No asked for our money back. Kept requesting through email & phone calls, Anthony kept coming up with excuses. Finally the owner contacted us and wanted to resolve our issue.
So being understanding my husband and I suggested a payment plan - 3 payments instead of 1 spread over 6 weeks. The first payment was made, a few days late but we are happy and believe that the owner is working very hard to resolve all the company issues and get the company back on tract with its good ratings.

Ottawa Permanent Roofing also engages in other types of home renovations. On 31st July 2017, Anthony of Ottawa Permanent Roofing agreed to supply and install interlock on our front porch, steps and an apron pattern on the driveway for the sum of $10,000. The payment was made up front in advance of the work being done, by cheque. The work was to be completed by the end of September. Later, on 13th August 2017, he dropped in unexpectedly looking to contract more work. He thought the interlock work would be done by the end of October, that they had encountered many delays with the weather. On 8th November 2017 when the work was still not done, we requested a refund. Since then, all that we have heard is one excuse after another to delay our refund. On 22nd December 2017, he committed to refund $10,000 by 8th January 2018 in the form of a bank draft. I summarized the agreement in an email to him on the same day. Clearly, January 8th is here and we have not received a refund nor any communication from Ottawa Permanent Roofing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Anthony was able to convince me to pay for the materials and then promised discount if I pay in advance.
He never showed up. He kept on rescheduling and claiming that it will be done next week. This has been going on for the last 7 months.
He never came to do the job but took the money. He "refunded" my money with a bounced cheque.
STAY AWAY!!!

THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE AND DECIDE IF YOU WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM OR NOT. THIS IS LONG OVER DUE AND MY ONLY REGRET IS NOT POST THIS EARLIER. THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE WORST COMPANY MY FAMILY HAS DEALT WITH. AFTER THEY SENT US THE ESTIMATE. THEY DROVE TO OUR HOUSE AND ASK FOR FULL AMOUNT BEFORE THEY START ANY WORK. ANTHONY WHO INTRODUCED HIMSELF AS THR OWNER IS ACTUALLY NOT THE OWNER, HIS WIFE HANAN EL BADRY IS THE ACTUAL OWNER, FOUND THAT INFORMATION ONLINE. THE COMPANY WERE SUPPOSE TO START ON JULY 17 , WHICH WAS STATED ON OUR CONTRACT. NO ONE SHOWED OR CALL. CALLED HIM AND HE SAID WE MISUNDERSTOOD, HE SAID HE WILL COME THE WEEK OF. NO ONE SHOWED OR CALL BY FRIDAY. DEADLINES AFTER DEADLINES MISSED. FINALLY CAME BECAUSE WE SENT HIM A LETTER FROM OUR LAWYER. DID NOT COMPLETE WHAT WAS LISTED ON OUR CONTRACT AND SAID HE WILL COME BACK TO FINISH. CONTACTED HIM AND HE SUGGEST A REFUND ON THE REMAINING BALANCE. MONTHS PAST AND NO REFUND. JUST EXCUSES AFTER EXCUSES. PROMISED TO HAVE FUND IN CASH OR CHQ AND DELIVERIED TO OUR DOOR AND DID NOT FULFILLED. CONFRONTED HIM ABOUT WHEN WE GOING TO GET THE REFUND AND HE MADE IT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS HIS RIGHT TO MISS THE DEADLINES HE SET FOR THR REFUND. ASKED AROUND AND FOUND OTHERS WHO HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE.

I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANY ONE I KNOW. UNLESS YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE MONTHS OF HEADACHE MY FAMILY EXPERIENCED.
