As a young couple buying their first home it was important for us to ensure we had a thorough and experienced home inspector!

After interviewing about 10 other home inspectors we were most impressed with Tristan's background, experience, his approach to home inspections and his honesty...now we know we made the right choice in hiring him!

Tristan went above and beyond for us when he spent 4 hours doing a comprehensive home inspection for a house we intended to purchase. He inspected every accessible nook and cranny of the home including going on the roof and crawling inside the attic!

He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain every component of the home to us with care and patience and answered all the questions we had.

Tristan was upfront and honest with us. He did not try to undermine or sugar-coat issues but he also did not blow issues out of proportion. He was ultimately working for US to make sure we were informed about the condition of the house based on his visual inspection (he does not have any interest in whether the house gets sold or not and is not affiliated with any realtors). He also made recommendations about what further (more invasive) investigations might need to be done to give us more comfort in making a decision.

Unfortunately/fortunately, whichever way you look at it, Tristan pointed out a number of more serious issues which we did not see in our previous visit to the house that ultimately helped us decide to walk away from the sale. Tristan was very sympathetic about the tough decision we had to make, but made us feel very good about it in the end.

He was AMAZING all around. Professional, knowledgeable, caring and in the end saved us potentially tens of thousands of dollars in remedial work. I would highly recommend Tristan to anyone and will use him again when we need him!
