Prestige Concepts Inc.

I hired Glen, the owner of Prestige Concepts, to do a major renovation including a basement suite. He insisted on receiving 10% deposit before commencing the job. I trusted him. He did not even start to work on the project. He took my money and stopped responding to emails, phone calls, or text messages. Do not hire this guy under any circumstances. He will take your money and run.

I recently got an email from Glen of Prestige Concepts asking me to give him a review. Here goes.
We invited Glen over to see the the renos we had already started with a previous contractor. That contractor didn't work out so we called around and saw his work. As my wife and I were hesitant on hiring someone we didn't know he work from his website showed he knew how to do things right. We went through all the details and he produced us a estimate. We agreed on the price and went from there - even tho is deposit was a little shocking he explained to us why and where to money was going to be used. After 1 month of the Initial signing him and his team were done ( what the other contract didn't finish) he was ahead schedule ( PCI )
Luckily for us he finished our renovation quickly and on budget we mangaged to sell our house within one week of listing it.
As our realitor said everyone loved the new upgrades and the workmanship was outstanding - we sold for higher than asking price.

We are looking forward on calling him and his team back to our new home for other renovations ( bathrooms and painting and possiballykitchen again in the summer time.

Hired Prestige Concepts in November of 2015 to help us with our kitchen remodeling.
He ( Glen ) was very informed of the process and of helping us through the process, my wife was on the fence about designs and colors.
He knew exactly what we wanted and how to bring our kitchen back to life after many years of neglect.
From the design portion to the finished product he was very helpful.
In January he delivered our cabinetry, we were looking forward to our new kitchen cabinets. After speaking to him further about how he got the colors and style dead on, we hired him to finish the flooring.
Highly recommend PrestigeConcepts for any renovations as they did a wonderful job on our kitchen and floors.

WARNING This contractor took our deposit and has not followed through with any work whatsoever in exchange. He refuses to engage in resolving this matter and we are having to resort to small claims court.

The President of Prestige Concepts Inc., provided a quote for renovations on the kitchen and bathroom in our condominium. His quote was the lowest of three that I collected, and so we hired him. The contract stipulated that we would provide a 50% deposit – allegedly to cover costs of materials. The cheque cleared in April.

The agreement was to complete the kitchen while we were out of town, returning June 2. During our absence, the President assured us that he was making good progress. However, upon our return date, he insisted that we meet him at his workshop in south Surrey before we returned home.

At his workshop, he confessed that, because he had to fire one of his workers, he was unable to do the kitchen as he had promised. We were very understanding and offered that we had another out of town trip, so he could do the kitchen then. He agreed.

We were next out-of-town June 12-19th. The day before departure, I texted him and asked "Will you be starting the kitchen project tomorrow, coming to the condo, that is?" He replied, "Yes my plan is to work on the weekend on it and have it completed by Monday". [Monday, June 15th]

We returned home and found that nothing had been done, despite the fact that he had texted, "no concerns on our end". In short, he failed to fulfill the terms of the contract. The completion deadline was June 3, 2015. It is now July 3 and still nothing has been done. I even asked for photos of progress of the kitchen cabinets that were being put together in his shop. What he eventually sent was a couple of photos of random boards that he had placed on the workbench at his shop. Now, we are trying to get our deposit back.

If you are looking for a general contractor to do any renovations in your home, look beyond Prestige Concepts Inc. and choose a different company. I can't emphasize that enough.
