We hired Alasya Construction to install/apply EIFS stucco at one of our custom home projects in Mississauga. They started close to when they were scheduled to start and performed the work within the anticipated time frame. The overall quality of the application is fairly good, however they were neglectful of some of the details.
For example, the kitchen vent exhaust (hood) cap was removed during installation and was never reinstalled after the stucco application. Instead, it was left in the mud and trampled on by their crew. The hole that they left for the cap was not big enough to allow for proper reinstallation of a new cap that I had to install. There was no caulking applied anywhere to where the mouldings and windows/doors met. Sloppy finishing where the gas meter/electrical meter were hung on the wall. Big, uncaulked gaps where two other vent caps were coming out of the wall. The holes that they cut out for 2 electrical junction boxes that were coming out of the wall were too big, so when the electrician installed the covers there are 1/4" gaps all the way around where water was getting in. The finishing around 3 basement windows was very sloppy and unfinished. The application was inconsistent at the bottom where the wall and grade met (up and down vs a straight line). They didn't do a very good job of cleaning up the site either, and left some of their garbage on the driveway.
My company is a Design/Build Construction company, and we would not hire this company again for any future work.

- Company Response
Thank you for taking the time to write this review Peter. I wish you had spoken to me during the course of the project. This job was completed over four months ago and here your a writing this review.
You held 10% of the amount for 45 days. If you had such concerns why didn't you speak to me and inform me on the company's shortcomings.
As I responded to the same review on google reviews. The caulking was not included in this quote. Is there anything that says caulking in the contract? If it does, I will be more than happy to come and complete all of the caulking. In fact, I raised this to the home owner while we were completing this project. I wanted to mend our relationship as you may notice in my google review response, but this seems highly unlikely.
You left this homeowner in the dark. We were told by you to leave the junction box openings and we did. We went with what was there. If you had paid us a visit and informed us, then we wouldn't have any issues. Any concerns we had, it took Nostco Construction three-four days to respond.
I have complete videos of this project on youtube. We followed building code and completed a proper, guaranteed project.
The garbage doesn't belong to us. It isn't ours. I suggest you speak to the homeowner about this.
What should alarm you is that I personally wanted to put a second floor to my house. After speaking to you for the first time, looking at some of the things that Nostco Construction has done, I was very serious about hiring you guys.
After starting to work with your company I realized that Nostco Construction was not a right fit for me. Seeing that a project can take 2.5 years where it shouldn't take no more than a year was absolutely mind blowing. I even raised you some of Crystal's, the homeowner, concerns. You just brushed it aside. You may have internal issues as a company. This doesn't mean that the customer has to put up with these issues.
Whoever reads this should ask them self this important question, why is this review being written without a word of concern or distaste was expressed to the project manager, Cesare?bit seems highly probable that Peter just recently went to the job site. Realized some of the things he was unhappy about and is writing this. I'm certain that he doesn't even know that the trash doesn't belong to us. Alasya Construction is still ready to take on any responsibilities. You have their contact information.
