I contacted TS Arborist Service for a quote to have a tree removed from my property. I received the quote quickly and at a very reasonable price. A report was required for the tree removal and again was quickly received. When the tree was removed, the area was cleaned as if nothing happened. Tom and his crew are very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and reliable. I highly recommend Tom and his company.

I had a red oak, approximately 100 yrs old, that needed to be removed due to safety reason. Tom provided not only a reasonable quote, but excellent service in the removal of the tree and stump.

Tom, gave us a very reasonable quote for the removal of dead wood and pruning of three old growth trees. Trees hadn't been touched in years and were a little unsafe for kids in the back yard. Tom's team were very professional and really cleaned up after themselves.

In November 2016, Tom, Ben and Sam took care of our overgrown cedar hedge, some large pine branches threatening our utility pole, and our favourite linden tree that needed a trim.

First, Tom came to my house and consulted with me thoroughly about the tree work needed and he emailed me a written estimate. When I gave him the go-ahead, he said the work would be done in about 4 weeks. When the time came, he called and scheduled the specific day.

The crew arrived at about 1:30 p.m. These gents were very polite and consulted thoroughly with me again about what I wanted before starting work. They provided additional information about the best methods to achieve the result I wanted without damaging the trees.

If you love your trees, ask about how much can be cut without hurting them. These guys will give you the straight goods plus a full education, if you want it.

When the work was almost done, Tom asked me to look at it and tell me if I wanted it done further. Sort of like getting a hair cut. I said yes please, so he continued working until almost dark to bring the canopy back to where I wanted it.

This is the second time Tom has worked on our trees and they looked beautiful in the years that followed.

Tom and his crew did a masterful job for me in removing a couple of eye sores. This man is honest and hard working, true to his word and very reasonably priced. Trust that you will not be disappointed if you give them an opportunity to address your concerns. They are busy but with good reason, you will understand why if you meet them. I believe they may have changed the company name (but the number is the same), call him if you're looking for a professional job with 100% satisfaction and no surprises.

It isn't often that you come across someone that helps you with a project, and that at the end of the project you only wished you had more projects for them to work on. Tom was like that for us. He gave us an extremely courteous experience and a job extremely well done. We had fallen in love with our new home and with the very large, 88 cm in diameter, 80+ year-old Norway Maple that was the centre piece of the backyard. After having consulted several well-regarded arborists/consultants in Toronto about the health of the tree, we made the very difficult and emotional decision to remove the tree for safety. We sought a quality and experienced arborist that was going to be safe with our property, himself and his crew, as well as with our neighbours, and that didn't make us feel that we would be privileged to have their services like some of the large contractors that we contacted for quotes. Tom and his crew met and exceeded all of our expectations. We live in a dense neighbourhood, which also added to the complexity of the project, and we let most of our surrounding neighbours know of the removal, all of them having known the tree longer than ourselves. During and after the removal, I received comments from them on what they saw when the tree was being disassembled. They described that it was like poetry - the control, the safety, the pace. And all the crew were very much a team, and all acted very polite and courteous. I'm actually rather surprised that we found Tom and his team. This was definitely a lucky find, one that we hope all of our contractors would live up to. We had Tom also grind away the stump, and replant our replacement tree next to it. It will take time for the new one to grow to the size of the giant tree that we had but as soon as we need some more tree work, Tom will be our guy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We are very happy with the work Tom and his crew did at our house. He took down 2 large pine trees and "chipped out" the stumps and a few others that were on our property. We would definitely recommend Tom to our friends and family. We will be hiring him again when we need more trees trimmed or removed. His pricing was very fair and he is very knowledgeable.

Tom and the crew from Simpl City Tree Care limbed and cleared a couple of large trees in out backyard. The crew was neat and took care to protect our plants, lighting, fire pit and furniture at grade.

The trees look great and my yard and property were left clean and swept with no trace of their having been there.

Tom and his team were excellent! I had a +50 ft silver maple in my backyard that needed to be cut down, with the stump removed, in an extremely tight space. If any branches fell, it would have caused significant damage to either my neighbour's or my home. They cut it down and finished in the time they estimated, while respecting my neighbours and cleaning up well after each day on the job.
