I witnessed a piece of sheet metal come down and hit our picture window consequently scratching it. We brought it to the owners attention but he never came out personally to look and discuss. He wanted full payment the following day but said we could hold back $100 until a "solution to the scratch" could be worked out. We paid his crew and held back $200. We attached the findings of our window expert (verified 8inch scratch) and tried again to work out some sort of compromise within the $200. Matt responded the following evening by email threatening to put a builders lien on our home if we didn't pay the $200 in full. He referred to my eyewitness account as "hear say". He signed his email "I hope you take us seriously now." He is now paid in full and we have an 8 inch scratch on our 3 year old picture window.
