We made the mistake of hiring MSJ Movers. Clearly their good reviews are made up by employees. We were moving from a 3 bedroom home. Two guys and one young kid (who they hired that day from Kijiji with no experience) showed up 2 hours late, in a small truck. It took EIGHT HOURS to load the truck and it was so poorly loaded that only 3/4 of our belongings fit. The truck had to be unloaded then reloaded properly to fit everything!! My husband was so frustrated by the end that he ended up doing half of the moving! We arrived to our new home at 9pm - complete darkness and raining. We asked if the movers could leave the truck and come back the next morning to unload - they said no. Finally at 4 AM - yes 4 AM!! - they finished unloading. Needless to say, there were several pieces of furniture that were broken, and the new house was full of mud (They did not take off their shoes).
We spoke to the owner of the company on the phone at 3:30 AM and he was non negotiable with the bill, and tried to charge us by the hour!!?? He did not offer to insure the broken items. He was rude and unprofessional.
I would NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone, and will tell everyone I know about this experience. WORST MOVE EVER.
