Called to cancel our order which was still in warehouse. Manager told me there is a 20% restocking fee for something not even shipped!!!! Stay away. Customer service is very poor and they are sneaky!

Great svc 5 years ago. Free delivery but can't narrow down time (problem in a high rise) but do deliver on wknds. Delivery forget to put handles on doors, have to come back but again won't narrow down window. After one month, one appliance breaks. Repair svc works M-F, 8-5 and won't narrow time down. So have to take day off work - 0 customer svc. Sales guy tried to upsell a lot and never returned emails about concerns.

After sales service non-existent at the Mississauga location. Arranged delivery of a stove for a Saturday, and called a local gas company for installation. When I called the store the next day just for delivery confirmation as per the gas contractors request, Vladimir (store manager) shuffled some papers then said he would call me back. Didn't call back. I waited for a few hours and called the store again. He was serving a customer and I left my number. Didn't call back. I called just before closing time and again the receptionist said he was with a customer and would call back. This time I said no, I want confirmation of delivery immediately. After several minutes she came back on the phone and said I requested pick-up! and that the Saturday delivery was booked. I had to call another service to deliver the stove to me.
Not even a call back from Vladimir apologizing for the screw-up. Head office should send these managers to customer service courses, but I guess you can't teach common sense.
UPDATE:
When I arrived home with the stove it had a big ding in the door that wasn't evident when I first examined it. As it is a floor model, I am now the proud owner of a $2,000 disaster.

I purchased my washer and dryer from Corbeil Appliances in Ancaster. When I was paying for the appliances I was shown the invoice after I had used my credit card to pay. I noticed a $70.00 delivery fee on the invoice and quizzed the salesman about it. He said that the delivery guys would carry my two units from the second floor down to the main floor and carry my two new units up the stairs to the laundry room. When they got there they insisted that they would have to charge us an additional $20 for the washing machine to be carried downstairs because they were not removing it for scrap metal. They demanded cash as they did not take any form of payment other than cash. I had called the location we purchased from and was told that they always charge this fee. After threatening that they can take the units back I was told that he would not charge us this fee and to have the delivery guys call him. The delivery guys did not call him they called dispatch instead. My husband got fed up and gave them the $20.00 cash as they demanded. I called the manager at the store and was told that they were crediting the delivery guys. When I told him that my husband paid the $20 he said they would issue a cheque in the mail that would take 4-6 weeks. We will see if it arrives. If they are going to demand payment for service then they need to provide a receipt. If I do not receive the cheque I will take this further. Not that I need the $20 because I most certainly do not but it is the principal. It is not like I was asking them to rearrange furniture they were simply removing the items to make room for the new ones. I will not buy appliances from them in the future. Previously when it was Sears I had purchased my original washer, dryer and dishwasher and was never charged a delivery fee and most certainly was not charged a fee to not dispose of an appliance. Usually you have to pay to have a broken appliance removed...not to keep it.

BUYERS BEWARE
I won’t discourage anyone from shopping at Corbiel Appliance because if they can give you the best deal than good for you. However, I will say after you make that payment kiss the customer service goodbye.

This is our fourth time purchasing a full complement of appliances. Stove, Fridge, Dishwasher, Exhaust fan, Washer, Dryer & Central vac. Previously we shopped at Sears where we have never been disappointed. Preet had always provided us a great deal and excellent service before and after the fact for any issue. After the recent cut backs at Sear Preet relocated to Appliance Canada near Yorkdale Mall. Due to the further distance and not so great financing options we decided to try Corbeil. The service was fantastic up until we paid for what we thought were getting.

Problem 1: We asked them to price match a quote we provided them from Appliance Canada. They could not do this until they left out the microwave. I can accept that we overlooked the microwave when paid. However I provide them with a quote that includes a microwave they should match it like for like. They were not willing to match the quote after I brought up the issue.

Problem 2: Their Delivery team tracked mud and slush all over our brand new house, first time I have seen a delivery personnel track wet muddy boots to a second floor to drop off a washer and dryer. Then they left the pedestals stands for the washer and dryer packed on the main floor for me to carry up. The sales lady did “apologize” for this.

Problem 3: My favorite!! Before the purchase I confirmed with the sales lady 3 times that the central vac “deluxe” kit contained a “power head” and three times she confirmed yes. In my humble opinion a power head means the vacuum head has a motor that runs on electrical power this is what I received in my last three purchases. Guess what I got “no power head” After following up with my sales associate I was told they can get me an air powered head for only $60 more. I insisted on getting a proper power head for the vacuum, it only cost $200 more.

The Corbeil experience was not a very pleasant, Vladamir the store manager was not even willing to listen to the concerns, at no point did I come across rude or irate but I cannot say the same thing for him. All I wanted was for his company to honour what was agreed upon. At one point he yelled out loud “what do you think this is a flea market, get out of here!!!!” Even his sales associated were shocked as they apologized for his behaviour.

I learned a valuable lesson, don’t let a few additional kilometers and different financing option steer you away from trusted service.

Buyer BEWARE! Do not buy from Corbeil.The manager's are rude and do not stand behind the products. I only wish I had checked out this site before I bought. The fridge I purchased broke down before the year was out. What a nightmare trying to get hold of Hanks the appliance repair company. David, the then manager promised to reimburse me for spoiled food. Two months later, the now manager, Edward denied any knowledge of this. He called me some choice names over the phone. He was rude, and no help at all. At least the first manager, Andrie, was helpful. Yes, huge staff turn over! Oh did I mention, when the fridge was delivered, the door frame, walls and fridge were all bashed up. Run from Corbeil!

Mississauga Store. Great Service. Professional Attention specially from the Store Manager Vladimir. Purchase was done in August. Good Deal. On time delivery. Strongly recommend the Company. Love Corbeil Laundry Detergent. Thanks!!

Very unfortunate that we did not read other Homestars reviews on this company. Also our first purchase (refrigerator) with this company was positive.

We went to their Mississauga store to buy a washer/dryer. We selected a model and then told the sales rep (Majid) we will go home, measure the space and come back and place an order.

To close the sale he told us that all appliances are standard measurements and these will fit. We mentioned there is a parapet constructed in front of our space and that is a constraint, but he reassured us.

When the delivery guys came to install the washer did not fit! At that time we probably should have asked them to take the machines back, but looking at the reviews, we might have lost money anyways.

We had to have a plumber come in, install a wooden base and change the plumbing. Now the machine does not sit in the space but over the parapet, misaligned with the dryer which does fit the space.

We went back to the store, only to speak to the manager (Vladmir) and inform him about this sales person and not really expecting anything else from him. Instead of being apologetic, this guy was downright rude and obnoxious.

He said we should have gone home and measured, we should have not accepted the machines etc. etc. When I told him that his attitude was uncalled for and we wouldn't buy from them again he said "sure, please don't come back then."

Such business operations should be boycotted by consumers and rude and unhelpful people should not be made store managers.

i ordered a whirlpool washer and dryer on Thursday afternoon and they were installed on Saturday. Perfect service experience from my perspective and on the detailed invoice i received, there were over $400 in rebates that reduced the cost substantially. I could not be happier. The sales people I dealt with, Tony and Enio, were professional, helpful, and lived up to their commitment. I would absolutely buy from Corbeil again and heartily recommend them.

We were very disappointed by the service at Corbeil. We were assured that the fridge we purchased would fit our house and when the delivery people arrived they informed us it wouldn't ... which would have been okay if Corbeil didn't then insist they were going to charge us a $650 fee to "restock" the fridge that was never delivered.
Inflexible and rude customer service. Would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.
