Bourne Builders completed a full renovation of our basement and it was the most pleasant renovation experience my wife and I could have hoped for. I would strongly recommend Ryan and his team for any renovation that you may be planning.We had an open, bare concrete basement that we wanted to convert into some living space with a separate bathroom / laundry room. The quote and proposal provided by Bourne Builders was the most comprehensive of any that we received, and it offered the best options for finishing the basement in a manner that considered both quality and budget.To begin the process, Ryan created a series of design options that showed us how our new basement would look, and provided excellent advice on the design he thought would work best. Once we had chosen a design, he and his team got to work. They leveled the floor, completely updated all the electrical work, installed new plumbing for the bathroom / laundry room, created a bulkhead around the HVAC vents, and built us a small furnace room. At Ryans suggestion, they also built storage space under the basement stairs. For everything that required a decision (flooring, bathroom fixtures, lighting, etc.), Ryan provided a bunch of good options, walked us through the pros and cons of each, and provided a suggestion on how to proceed. He was always patient and considerate of our time, ensuring we had enough time to discuss our options together.From the beginning, Ryan and his team worked quickly and efficiently, while explaining what it was they were doing day-to-day. Each invoice contained a detailed breakdown of the work they had completed and the materials that they had used, so you were never left guessing what the money was going towards. Not only that, but the whole team (Matt, Michael, and Tenzin) were friendly, polite, incredibly hard working, and professional. We have already arranged for Bourne Builders to complete other renovations around our house (which constantly seems to be under construction). For professionalism, quality of work, thoroughness, and overall customer service and experience, you really cant go wrong with Ryan and his team.
