Costard Renovation

I had contracted someone to build us a Pergola. 4 Months later they never showed. Through a shopper at Lowes, Costard Renovation was recommended. I gave them a call and Rodrigo promptly called us. It was June and his schedule of course was full until end of November. Within a few weeks Rodrigo committed to doing the project in 2 weekends at the end of Sept. A family man who gave up some time with his family to deliver to customers. I had a vision in my head of the Pergola I wanted. Rodrigo worked on it over the 2 weekends (1 full day in the rain, he built himself a shelter!) and my dream Pergola was done. He is prompt, professional, reliable, efficient, trustworthy, and more. You will never regret hiring Rodrigo. Ive seen some of his work through his Facebook page and the before and after pictures really show his level of expertise. Amazing to say the least. He will always be the first one we call for any renovation needs. Thank you Rodrigo!

We hired Rodrigo and Mike to remove a wall separating our living room and dining room, and what a wonderful difference they made. We are so happy with the new space, it's much more functional for our family now.
The renovation was as painless as a renovation can be. They protected the furniture we had to leave in the workspace, and did all they could to keep the construction zone from contaminating the rest of the house.
The reno ended up taking about 4 days longer than originally quoted, but they were able to start a couple of days early which was a nice surprise. We had some decisions to make along the way about certain finishings etc, and Rodrigo made it very easy for us, always emailing us with updates and detailed questions he needed answered.
We will gladly use Costard Renovation in the future, they have some happy clients for life with us!

We were very satified with the work that was undertaken. Rodrigo was friendly, well organized, and kept to the budget. They undertook renovations to two bathrooms and both rooms now look fabulous. Rodrigo worked with our tile company to design the tiling for the floors and shower.

The only drawback was that due to Rodrigo's schedule, it was a long time between when we commissioned the work and when Rodrigo could start. This aside, the wait was worth it.

We would definitely recommend them to our friends.

We were expecting our first child and wanting to finish our basement so that it would be livable and could be used as a guest bedroom for our parents when they wished to stay over post grandchild birth. We needed the ceiling done, there was none previous as the ducts, cables, and wires were exposed. As well as the flooring needing to be re-installed - it had been torn up 5 months earlier when our pipes had to be replaced. Rodrigo was even able to take on a couple of last minute things my wife had forgotten to ask about when originally getting the estimate, ie. relocating the basement's light switch and adding a dimmer to it as well as placing an air vent for us.

Rodrigo and Lindsey made us a priority when they heard of our tight time frame and that we were trying to do the work before the baby was born. It was a great relief when they started work for us and really stress-free as they limited the amount of things that we needed to worry about.

Rodrigo and Mike arrived bright and early and finished on time, I think they might have even finished a day or so earlier than they estimated even. What's more, our baby came a week and a bit early during our renovation. We didn't have to worry about the reno though, as Rodrigo and Mike finished the work, cleaned and locked up for us while we were away at the hospital the last 2 days of the job. They simply sent us an email letting us know that they'd finished up and had locked up the house for us as well as wishing us a heartfelt congratulations.

The basement turned out great! As they were completing the work my wife and I already began planning the future renos we'd like Costard Renovation to do for us. The work is great, cost fair, and the people are skilled, knowledgeable and great to deal with.

Rodrigo came highly recommended from a good friend. We had an old back and front deck that needed replacing and from the start of project thru to the end he was on time, helpful, courteous, skilled, knowledgeable and ended up creating something over and above our expectations. The back turned into a gorgeous 3 season addition full of light and character and the front into a multi level front step, hang out area. We are so pleased with his work that we have now asked him to quote on a bathroom renovation and a possible future basement renovation.

Rodrigo and Mike are the two most professional contractors I've worked with. Their work ethic is amazing. They don't cut corners whatsoever. Rodrigo walked us through the entire reno process and kept us up to date throughout the whole project. He did a complete reno job on our main bathroom and powder room; installed a new floor in our basement and laundry room; and built us a huge closet in our basement. Along the way there were many changes we wanted to make and Rodrigo was very accommodating to those changes. Very honest and reliable. I will definitely call Rodrigo again for all my future reno projects. Highly recommended!!

Rodrigo updated our house. Everything he did was to the highest standard. Always he had fantastic suggestions regarding design. Always polite on time and on budget. We miss him now that he is completed. He rebuilt our deck, the front porch, bathroom. Hired other contractors for us. Our house has never looked so good.

I bought the house with a sad backyard composed of a vinyl shed with rotting floor boards, pressure treated deck that was dismal and two doors that were a make shift garbage bin shed. The vine and weed covered chain link fence between my neighbor and myself was an eyesore that was getting worse. Having worked with Rodrigo and his team many times before, I called him in to bring it to life. With this project, I learned that when I want to dream, dream big! I am completely incompetent to design anything, so simply pointed that I wanted the deck to be extended to here. A nice pathway for my bins and a shed. My neighbor agreed to remove the fence, asked if we could keep the privacy line around 4' tall and a 'Japanese wave' design at the top. That was all the instructions I was able to provide. Within about 3 weeks, the old ruins were removed, solid footings and posts were installed, pathway dug out and then fully completed. In beautiful cedar, Rodrigo designed and built a 'Grande Piano' shaped back deck, a stunning fence, all finished edges. The stone pathway is spectacular. My neighbor has the fence of her dreams, the bin shed is a highlight in the back of the yard. Everything is lit with LED lights on dawn/dusk sensor switch. All designed and built with me pointing a finger and saying "would be nice to have something here'.

100% recommended for anything you could possibly dream of. The results will be far more than expected.
