Blinds
Carlos has always been polite. He cancelled appointments with me on many occasions (was not very dependable in that sense), but usually always pulled through. I must admit that he even came and took care of some blinds that needed to be returned to the manufacturer and get fixed. So I decided that it didn’t matter that Carlos almost always cancelled appointments, at least he pulled through. About two years later, I purchased blinds for my newly renovated basement with Carlos. Again, he pulled through.
I recently had an issue with one of the automatic blinds I bought for my master bathroom on my initial (first) purchase. When the battery ran out, I couldn’t seem to get it up and running again. So, naturally, I called Carlos. He asked me to check online for instructions and try to fix the problem myself or ask my husband because he no longer dealt with the company that he originally got those blinds from and couldn’t remember how to fix them. I told Carlos that I was not able to do that nor did we (my husband and I) have the time for that and asked for a solution. We finally agreed that ordering a mechanism that recharges with the sunlight would be ideal; this way, battery issues could not again arise. The cost was $90 so I figured was well worth it. Well, that didn’t work either. There was an issue with the mechanism. He came back and took the blinds to have them fixed.
A month later I decided to text and call him to get a status update of those blinds cause I’m now selling my house. Sadly, he has blocked my texts and calls. I do not understand this behavior as we never had any arguments or issues. I hired him twice and was going to hire him a third time for my new home – not anymore. Now I will need to have it replaced from someone else, making the total cost of this problem approximately $800!
