Hello Deepa Mistry,
First off, we take every complaint seriously, and conduct a full investigation. We are sorry to hear about your negative experience with our company.
Where a complaint is supported by evidence we offer:
a) compensation equivalent to the damages supported by evidence
b) repairs to the damages
c) a discount on your move if you were unfairly chargedThe compensation we offered you was based on the complaint you filed with our company, and the photos that you provided as evidence. Following our investigation fairly offered you compensation to cover your damages supported by your photos. We were ready to compensate you for where your claim was deemed just, and supported by evidence. You demanded that we refund you the amount you deemed correct, based on the fact that your husband helped the movers, and told us that if we do not pay you the amount you requested, that you would proceed with posting negative reviews and slandering our company publicly in other outlets.
Unfortunately, the amount you want, and the amount we deemed fair were not equivalent.
We cannot compensate you for the fact that your husband helped the movers, because this is a common practice by many of our clients. We allow clients to help the movers so that the total time of their move is lower. This is a way they can save money. Without that help your bill would have reflected a greater total time.
Furthermore, all of our movers undergo a strict criminal reference check each year. We do not employ criminals. As well, we do not see motive for the movers to commit such a crime in stealing your used underwear and clothing items. If you suspect theft then it is your legal responsibility to report that to authorities. You cannot ask for compensation based on suspected theft as a police investigation must take place first and prove your allegations true.
Falsely accusing someone of theft (or having committed any crime) is considered defamatory. Without having had fair trial, you are in no position to publicly accuse movers of theft. If you are so sure they committed such a crime than why did you not file a police report and take appropriate legal action. You are insinuating something about our company without just confidence.
More so, if the movers would have forgotten your items in the truck, we do inspections that are catalogued after each move to ensure trucks are emptied before the next customer. Any left over items would be sent to our Lost & Found, and you would have been notified immediately.
*We have evidence to support this.As well, our movers did not disappear, and we have evidence of that. All of our trucks are monitored by a GPS tracking system that allows us to see when the truck was turned on/off, where the truck travelled and at what times. Essentially we can see everything. As a result we did see that the truck had stopped at the gas station for 10 minutes to refuel. There was also bad driving conditions this day, and it is difficult to drive with an oversized truck.
*We have evidence to support thisWith regards to your conversation with the owner. He was not being rude or belligerent, he was correctly instructing you with the necessary procedure to file your claim so that you can be compensated accordingly.
Finally, insulting the mover that he was too incompetent to put on his shoe is just rude.
Thank you for your feedback, as your opinion is important to us in improving the level of services we provide. We are committed to costumer satisfaction, and providing exceptional moving services to the people of Ontario.
Sincerely,
The High Level Movers Team
