I had the exact same experience with this company as Lydia from Toronto. Ronnie & Mo passed off my bathroom project to a guy named Rajan. They gave no prior warning they were doing this. There was little opportunity to object. There are no words to describe his totally unprofessional work so I attached pictures. The job started March 12 and lasted about one week. They were re-drywalling the bathroom ceiling, replacing the exhaust fan, removing the medicine cabinet, installing a new light fixture & pot lights, and removing/replacing the vanity.
During the project I complained to Ronnie/Mo that Rajan and his guys left chips and gouges in the new vanity when they installed it. Rajan “fixed” these by putting a dollop of white glue on them and left it like that. I ended up lightly sanding it myself. The gouges are less noticeable but far from perfect.
Also following the work, there was a leak under the cabinet coming from the drain pipe. Ronnie/Mo came to fix it right away but you can see the overall plumbing job in one of the photos. You call this professional work?
I was unhappy with the installation of the vanity but when you complain to Ronnie & Mo, they totally disagree with anything you say, so I gave up. I didn’t even bother to address the extremely bad drywall finishing. Rajan did not use three coats of mud. His work is terribly sloppy. Taping is wrinkled and shows through the one layer of mud he used. He never finished sanding. I could go on and on. Just look at the photos. A local handyman had a look at it this week. He couldn’t believe just how bad it was and suggested I get these guys back to fix this. But I told him I don’t ever want Ronnie, Mo or Rajan in my house ever again. My handyman will fix the drywall professionally and paint the bathroom for me once non-essential work can start back up again in Ontario. It will cost me more, but I know his quality of work is top notch.
Also see the photo of the drywall cut out around the ceiling fan! Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy!!
Ronnie & Mo had the audacity to come in and inspect the “final” work (and grab their final payment) and had NOTHING to say about this totally unprofessional job. I know, that THEY KNOW, that it was sub par workmanship but they had no intention of admitting to it and like I said, they argue with every complaint you make.
If you call these guys for any work in your home, you are making a huge mistake. Reach out to me in the comments section if you would like to contact me directly to discuss my experience further.
Follow-up - Ronnie & Mo contacted me immediately upon reading my review and offered to make amends by paying for any work my handyman performs to fix the plastering and to replace the vanity. I was pleased with their quick response. When the pandemic is over, I'll have the plastering repaired and they will reimburse me. I appreciate that they offered to make these amends and that they want their customers to be happy. I like to think that had they done this project themselves that it would have been done right.
