I/we have been using Direct Energy services for some years now and,have always been quite satisfied,in all aspects. Contacts2 are always pleasant,informative and professional.I/we would gladly highly recommend them to our neighbours,friends,etc.

I had a tech look at my hot water heater yesterday. Like other stories here, my pipes now bang ever since I had my hot water heater replaced with a new one. The tech told me that it was a common problem and I should live with it. I am tempted to rip it out and buy one. I rent and I would appreciate a half-decent piece of equipment. After seeing the stories here, I guess I should be making another phone cal to them.

We have been clients of Direct Energy for the past 18 Years, initially we had only maintenance Plans for Heating and Air Conditioning maintenance. Since moving to Oakville from Mississauga we added the total Home Protection as well as protection for the Gas fireplace, which was actually installed by Direct Energy - to our total satisfaction. We have had to utilize the Plans several times. We've needed an Electrician, Plumber as well as Technicians to repair Appliances. All work performed was excellent, the Technicians very professional and curteous. We can highly recommend the various Plans/Service offered by Direct Energy. The service is great and the cost is very reasonable.

Few years back, we've decided to go along with Direct Energy Water Heater rental. We have called them and getting confirmation on the appointment for when they are coming in to install the water heater. Everything here sounds smooth until once the water heater is setup. We notice our gas bill has tripled and got a gas supplier "Direct Energy"!!! This was alarming. I've called them multiple times and only to get constant transfers of calls and did not get questions answered. It was until the last call (Request to speak to manager) I made that I got my questions answered and only to found out someone forged my signature with pre-affirmation (will not receive phone calls to confirm). Horrible service provider and felt ripped off! I have reported this to OEB.

The technician showed up within the agreed time period. He provided the service (regular furnace maintenance)as agreed. He wore covers on his boots so he didn't track dirt into the house.

Phoned in for help, service man came next morning. Good advice and friendly service. I am on a plan with the company, so no upfront cost to me. i would recommend this company to everyone.

i had the annual air conditioner inspection that is part of the service plan. the technician was punctual, knowledgable and informative. gave me some tips for improving the performance of my unit.

I called the customer service and told that my AC is working but no cool air, and I believe that there is Freon gas leakage as I could see smoke. I was given appointment on Tues May 22, 2012 and no one showed up. Then I was given appointment for Sat May 26 from 1 PM to 4PM vide case # 17741459-1. After 4 hours waiting, and calling 3 times to 1800-266-3939, I was told that technician is on the way and may reach just after 4 PM. Technician came and having a look at AC unit he told me that it is a gas leakage case (what a discovery made by a genius!) but he does not have Gas test/filling equipment (although he does have usually) so he will schedule next visit on Jun 1. My weekend has been ruined, my central AC is not working, and my children are sweating. What a horrible customer service. Company shall change the name from Direct Energy to "Direct Pain" with logo "Dis-satisfaction gauranteed".

I have had very good service with Direct Energy. However,they have just completed my yearly furnace inspection and have indicated that my exhaust should not be under my deck as per code regulation from the year 2000. This code violation will cost me $300 to correct, can only be done by a certified technician and I have 45 days to complete the work. My deck is 6 years old and Direct energy has been doing our yearly furnace maintenance for the past 4 years. See my dilema!! Why have all of the past Direct Energy maintenance technicians who have performed the work ever say anything? Was I wrong to think that I received very good service? Are they not trained properly? I have asked them to call me since I would like to discuss this with them so more to come.

After thinking we smelled gas periodically over a span of 4 weeks, we finally had a strong whiff and callled Enbridge Gas who imediately arrived and gave us 3 A red cards meaning the whole house was shut down until the next day when a Direct Energy service man could attend.
Jay arrived, immediately fixed the problems in the house, and left the BBQ outside line for another day to allow me to paint the pipe as instructed by the gas inspector. Jay returned on the dot as planned and repaired the pipe. His work was exceptional, and oozed confidence with his plan for the necesary repairs. We were very much relieved based on the work that Jay did for us. Hopefully we will not need his work again, but if we do, we hope he is the one to respond.
