Our furnace fan broke down during a heat wave and we needed speedy repair to use the air conditioning. The technician came the morning after we placed the call, he managed to fix the problem in a timely manner and we were able to use our air conditioning right afterwards. As our first time experience with a furnace problem, we were satisfied of the speedy way the problem was handled. On the side, it did take a long time with the customer service representative to actually make the appointment -- like 15+ mins -- perhaps that part can be improved.

Workers never showed up on time and put a hole in the side of my wall in error. Had to fight with them to fix it. Service since then has been poor on the roof, some of the tiles have come loose and I had to have another roofing company come out to fix it at my cost

The boiler was not cleaned for many years and as the service man went from one thing to another it was obvious that more work was required which was pointed out and completed very satisfactory.

I have the 3-in-1 plan which has turned out to be very useful. Service was easy to book over the phone (short wait time) and they promptly came when they said they would. Servicemen were helpful and knowledgable.

When our air conditioner died during a heat wave, I called on my Heating/Cooling Protection policy coverage. We had prompt service within 24 hours at a busy time for air conditioners and it was repaired during the first visit by the service technician, all covered by our policy. Very glad to have that policy!

Chris, the attending plumber (Direct Energy) was first-rate from the minute he arrived to the completion of the task-at-hand. Chris did not expect the extent of the work involved, especially the piping requirement to complete the installation. The job was completed with professionalism: knowledgeable, very courteous and pleasant from start to finish. Chris' recommendations to improve our plumbing system (house is over 30 years old) will be given serious consideration. Direct Energy will be receiving a call soon for the aforementioned. Great job!

We have the HIP plan with Direct Energy and after using them 7 times for furnace/ac repair in the last 7 years, it really has paid for itself. The techs schedule an appointment the next day and with ordering parts and rescheduling we had our repair completed in 24 hours. Great service and have recommended to friends & neighbors.

Our Air conditioner stopped working, I contacted Direct Energy and right from the initial call I was put at ease,procedures were explained, cost was explained & the customer service representative was friendly,and knowledgeable. The technician arrived right on schedule & he too was very friendly, informed me through all the steps regarding the scope of his work and completed the work quickly and made sure the unit was working effeciently. I will definitely recommend Direct Energy for home services.

Patrick came in and checked everything related to AC to ensure all OK. He explained how to read fault code on furnace before resetting the system if it ever cuts out again. No fault was found. Working fine now.

Ottawa. July 16 2010 : Annual check up on my Amana furnace and A/C (new and installed in June 2008). Customer service was friendly and the 2 specific specialty teams were professional and respected service appointment time window.
I highly recommend their service with the bonus that one technician also spoke French. The technicians provided helpful details about the Amana equipement and provided suggestions to increase their efficiency, example : type of air filter for cooling and heating requirement. Both system's verification passed with good reviews. No repairs were required.
