We had a sanitary back up and then noticed clean water on the floor in the furnace room. I thought the leak was from the hot water tank. When I called Direct Energy, they were professional, but couldn't confirm the leak was coming from the tank. When the young man arrived he stated because there was a sanitary back-up, regardless of where the leak was from, the tank would have to be swapped out for a new one, as it had been contaminated. The next day, 2 young men arrived 5 minutes before their 4 hour window and changed the tank with ease. Thank you Direct Energy! Also, the swap is supposedly covered by insurance, which makes this even better!

Very good protection plan for Home services. They come right away when I called them. Definetly recommend the company. I have a preventive maintenance plan, so the come every year to check the equips to keep them working well, this reduce the risk of broken when you need the equips like in the middle of the winter. They can anticipate possible issues and if you are covered for repairs and labor you do not need to worry about to fix the issues.

Furnace and a-c unit covered by 10 year warranty - Direct Energy attended...water hose lines were plugged causing overflow onto motherboard etc...parts covered, $900 in labour paid. Signed up for Protection Plan also.
Four weeks later, went on holiday and turned on a-c for pets. Returned to flooded basement.
Technician atteneded, pulled out hose and blew into it, clearing the still-plugged hose. The original techs never cleared the initial cause of the furnace damage !!! Unbelievable !!!
Now my basement carpet / baseboards / drywall all needs replacing !

Second time I've had them visit, good value, technician was very respectful of my property, in and out in no time, have signed up for regular maintenance visits to minimize any surprises

I have had one of Direct Energy's various protection plans for my home furnace and/or central air-conditioning for many years and have always been very glad I did. (I don't have my recent bills before me so that $30 is per month and a very rough guesstimate!) I have confidence after a routine check-up that my equipment has been thoroughly checked and we are prepared for the coming season. I have probably been spared major repairs and the labour and most parts for such minor repairs as have been required were free. The service, from the phone person I spoke to to book the appointment, to the service technician, has always been excellent. On the most recent occasion, the time from my calling for an appointment to the tech finishing the job was actually about 2 hours! (Admittedly that was highly unusual.) But I was happiest about the tech discovering that my humidifier had actually been installed improperly by the dealer (thereby explaining why it failed to function last winter.) I would certainly recommend the protection plan to anyone. (I promise I am just a satisfied customer and not a company shill!)

I am a senior and have a Protection Plan with Direct Energy for a variety of services. It felt like a luxury and I considered cancelling due to the cost (approx.$200 p.a.) However I recently had a leak under my kitchen sink - water everywhere! I phoned Direct Energy to ask if this would be covered. The Plumber (very polite) arrived within 2 days & replaced the whole piping system and it was FREE! Would have cost at least $300 Im sure & the work was done efficiently with no mess. I asked the Plumber as he was leaving....is this the only call I get for the year? What if I have other problems (i.e. Bathroom etc) will that be covered and he reassured me that my Protection Plan gives complete coverage. I would recommend this Plan for other Senior (who can often be ripped off - as I have experienced) Direct Energy is a very credible company and provide excellent service.

Excellent experience. Technician was amazing! He came within 4 hours of the call. Very Knowledgeable and caring. Provides suggestions as to what to do to maintain the A/C and Furnace for optimum operation. He found mice in the A/C unit that chewed wires. His Name is Jamie H. He came out of the Brampton Location of Direct Energy on Rutherford. I would definately call Direct Energy again for service. I found all the technicians great, with Jamie being Exceptional! Sharon

We were very impressed with the integrity and determination of the techs who worked on our unit. Due to the complexity of the repair this took over a week to complete and involved a number of servicemen. They were all knowledgeable and professional and as far as we were concerned went above and beyond to satisfy us. This company provided us with GREAT service and we wouldn't consider going anywhere else for our repair needs. We feel vey secure and happy knowing that we have a contract with them that covers our heeting, cooling and plumbing. We would highly recommend this company.

I pay for annual home maintenance and service calls. My air conditioner was slowing and I was advised by the technician that it was leaking freon ( he said a carcinogen) into the home. He advised we purchase another air conditioner immediately. When obtaining quotes from other companies, it was discovered that there was a loosened valve, no freon leak and I did not need a new cooling unit.

Have a direct energy service plan and I am so happy that I do. They provide great service and apart from being called "ma'am" by the customer service dept, the experience is always a positive one.
