We first read about Shelf Genie in the Vancouver Sun and when we attended the Kitsilano Home Show we saw the actual finished product. We were impressed enough that we set up an appointment for Jon Robertson to come to our home to measure up and give us a quote. He arrived promptly on time. We felt extremely comfortable dealing with Jon. He had a wealth of information and provided us with various options. We came to an agreement and signed a contract. The product is made in the USA (North Carolina and California) and is of high quality unlike products that we are so used to seeing in the market place. Three weeks later the manufactured shelves arrived. Jon did an excellent job with the installation. The shelves fit perfectly in the cabinets and moved back and forth with precision. There was some cutting and sawing involved but no trace of sawdust was left. I would certainly recommend Jon Robertson and Shelf Genie to anyone considering kitchen renovations.

The pantry and corner cabinets, in particular, required updating for efficiency. Jon Robertson's initial visit with solutions was painless, informative and complete. Jon's re-visit for final measurements, not only included those two specific areas, but now entailed all lower cabinets. The kitchen has been transformed with a kidney-shaped lazy susan, fantastic six-shelf pantry with a vertical divider shelf, complimented by pull-out shelves in all other lower cabinets. Jon's business acumen, knowledge of product and installation were all outstanding. He is a capable, hard worker, meeting all commitments and time-lines (in our case, ahead of schedule). During his initial visit Jon Robertson outlined what his company did and what we could expect. We then jointly determined how best to achieve our objectives. After taking measurements, Jon advised that he would be back to do the job within 6 weeks. He returned when he said he would with all shelving and drawers meticulously fitted, fully finished and ready to be installed. They are completely customized, made from the finest materials available and carry a lifetime guarantee.
Jon was personable and respectful of our home. He completed the job in less than 3 hours and cleaned everything before leaving.
We are now able to easily access pots, pans, glassware and small appliances etc. that were virtually inaccessible before.

Our 1960"s kitchen was renovated less then four years ago and poorly designed. ShelfGenie to the rescue! Their in-house designer Caroline reclaimed space and retrofitted shelves with their slide out system. Bravo ShelfGenie we now have the kitchen of our dreams.

We are very, very happy that this company had solutions for our under counter spaces. Previously, I had to access my lower spaces on my knees, and had to remove all pieces at the front to get an item. They also gave me space to store platters, baking sheets within reach. I love the smooth rolling inserts, and proudly show them to visitors. We had inserts done in 5 cabinets.

We are thrilled with our new sliding shelves. We have a large "hidden" kitchen cupboard with a small entry door and I used to have to crawl halfway inside the cupboard with a flashlight to find items. ShelfGenie designed four sliding shelves and everything is easily accessible now. They also converted a huge cupboard with two fixed shelves into three slide out shelves. I find I'm using so many more pans, platters, canned goods, spices and specialty items because I can easily see and reach them. The shelves are quality wood construction and glide smoothly. Every space is used in an organized and uncluttered way thanks to the dividers. I actually like using that space under the sink now that it slides out. I have been telling my friends about ShelfGenie, especially the ones who love to be organized. So would I recommend them - yes!

This product has changed the way we do things in our kitchen. No more bending and dragging things out to reach what is in back of the cupboard. It was money well spent. Joseph came with an installer and they spent a great deal of time learning just exactly what issues we had to contend with in our kitchen. They were very accommodating and discussed budget with our financial restraints in mind. They designed to fit our space and problems. They measured carefully, actually twice before they installed. The installation went well, and my wife continually shakes her head and wonders why we hadn't done something like it earlier. As a result of her health difficulties, fatigue used to often make it difficult to grab that heavy pot, or the blender at the back, or ... (the list was long). On the drawers and cupboard spaces we had customized, that just doesn't happen any more. Our dreaded corner cupboard now makes it very easy to access everything in it. And, as a bonus, it really keeps that space well organized. We are counting pennies and hope to call Joseph in the not too distant future to come work on our pantry.
Don't hesitate. Make some needed changes. We don't regret it one bit.

Shelf Genie installed very useful products in my home. They provided shelving customized for under my kitchen and bathroom sinks and, specialized custom shelving for an odd shaped corner. All of the shelves are so convenient to use. Staff came to my home to explain the product and, to measure; they were wonderfully helpful. They explained everything clearly and the installation went well.

My neighbor had these installed, we liked them and had Joseph come do ours as well. Everything worked out well. They take a lot of weight and slide smoothly. Things are easier to get at now, far more accessible.
