Driveway Interlock, Planter Box, Pathway and Rear Step Repair

I'm sure Ryan would agree - that timely, open and honest "communication" with his customers is one of the keys to a successful business. Although we had a bit of a rough road getting to the end of job I can unequivocally say that once we started communicating effectively; specifically getting a "commitment" when the work would get done then the "execution" and "quality" of the work of him and his team was exceptional!

Approximate cost of services:
$4,500.00

Driveway Interlock Repair, Planter Box/Retainer Wall and Step Repair

I signed a contract with Ryan on July 16, 2017 to repair my existing interlocked driveway, build a new planter / retainer wall at the front of my house plus repair my back steps from my house to my patio. It's been more than 3 months and the work has yet to be done, let alone even scheduled (a firm date provided).

Here are the "facts". I called three times and only once (first call) did Ryan actually answer. At that time he said he had forgot about it but would get to it "next weekend"; nothing happened. That was near the end of September. I subsequently called twice more and left phone messages both times; neither of which were returned.

I then sent an email message near mid-October and he responded that you would get to it "next week" (week of Oct. 15th). I sent a followup email requesting a firm date; no response was received. That week has come and gone and still no firm date as to when the work would be done. So, two promises; neither of which were delivered upon.

It's been more than 3 months since we signed the contract and when we talked at that time (mid July) he indicated the work should be done by the end of August; a one day job on a weekend. Yes, I indicated that there was no rush for the work to be done but that does not mean without a firm date / commitment of when it would be done.

So, I had waited patiently to hear from him (until the end of September) and here we are now approaching the end of October and still no firm date /commitment as to when the work would be done!

I would be happy to retract my review if the work had been scheduled (with a firm / committed date) and then completed successfully on that date.

I fully recognize that the job is a relatively small one ($1500); nevertheless it was agreed to and a deposit was placed. All I was/am looking for was a firm date when the work would be completed and then have it completed on that date!

$1,500.00
