Two names - Avoid this company.

Avoid this company. They go by two names "Save On Junk Inc" and "No More Rubbish Inc". They have bad reviews under "No More Rubbish Inc. and no bad reviews under "Save On Junk Inc." so I figure they simply set up a new website after getting a lot of bad reviews. If you call the number listed in the "Save On Junk Inc" website they answer the phone with "No More Rubbish Inc."

The way they advertise their pricing is misleading. It is basically the same on both websites. They show two trucks in their ad with the load section bigger than the cab such that you think it is a small truck that actually arrives and you think the price will be okay. To get a proper estimate you need to know the size of the pile of your junk in inches then compute total cubic inches and divide this by the number of inches in a cubic yard (36 X 36 X 36 = 46,656). This will give you the cubic yards. Next you need to order the smallest truck for your pile of junk. You need to tell them it should be empty or you will end up getting charged the rate for a larger truck. The truck they sent me was 1/2 full already (clearly a rip off according to their ad). I computed the size of my pile of junk as (60 X 72 X 120 = 518,400) cubic inches which is 11.1 cubic yards. They should have sent me their smallest truck which is 15 cubic yards and charged me for 3/4 full (15 X .75 = 11.25 yards). The amount would be $375.00 plus tax. They also ding you for a $50 environmental fee which they do not mention on their ad. Instead they sent me a truck that was 20 cubic yards since the stuff already loaded was about the same size or a bit smaller. So right off the top they charged me a higher rate. When I realized just how badly things went I called them. They told me on the phone that the truck size was actually 30 or 35 cubic yards which is even bigger and a higher rate you have to call for. So according to the chart in their ad I should have paid $375 + tax yet they charged me $904 after tax and the environmental fee were added in ($480.25 more than the ad implies I should have paid). So again, work out the size of the pile of junk in cubic inches then cubic yards first then tell them you want a truck that is no larger than the one you need. Tell them your estimate on the phone and tell them you want an estimate when they arrive and if their estimate is higher than the one you worked out on paper tell them you won't pay any more. I recommend you pay them in cash and make sure you read very carefully anything before you sign it.

I personally would recommend getting a dumpster instead. To find a reputable dumpster company ask for the company they use at the local recycle place. They leave the dumpster there for a week and you fill it up yourself then they pick it up. I suggest you create your pile of junk in the Garage then calculate the size of your junk pile and figure out the proper dumpster to get and what the cost will be. Because the pile is rounded (not perfectly cubic as per your calculations) you should have no trouble fitting it in the dumpster. They will adjust the cost based upon weight. I figured this out after the fact and I believe it would have cost only $500.00 with a dumpster rather than the $904.00 that "Save On Junk Inc" charged. Having the pile in the Garage means it will take you only 30 to 60 minutes to transfer it to the dumpster. If you are too old to create the pile in the garage get some young people you trust and pay them minimum wage. I would not let these guys in my house.

If you use them don't pay by credit card. Have the cash ready for the estimate amount only so you do not pay more when they change the price on you after you see the junk is gone (that is what they did with me).

The guy asked me if I wanted a receipt by email and I said yes. I have called them twice and they never sent a receipt. Just another thing they said they would do that they did not do. At least I have proof on my credit card sheet. I changed my credit card number.

About the only good thing about this company is they did show up and they took the junk.

Junk Hauling

Spoke to MITCH twice and was told they were sending a 15 cubic yard truck that would cost $500 if filled. Truck that seemed smaller than in the $30-off coupon photo arrived and two workers loaded it up but not as full as I felt they could have. I saw room for much more, they disagreed.
Then they attempted to convince me that it was a 35 yard truck and the bill was just shy of $2,000. I know that a 30 yard bin you can have dropped off is 5.25' high x 8' wide x 20' long and costs about $600 to fill yourself and have hauled away, so this flat deck truck with plywood sides was no more than 15 yards in my estimation.
Long story short after 20 minutes of back and forth with Mitch and lots of game playing, I paid $500 and sent them on their way. My advice is do not use this contractor under any circumstances.
I see my experience repeated time and again in reviews on this site and others. Note the reviews on this site are either rated 10 or 0. I see "MITCH" from Vancouver is one reviewer giving a glowing report and a 10 rating.

Junk removal service happy customer

heir pricing is transparent and worth it for the level of service they provide. They charge by the percentage of the truck you fill, and show you a chart with the prices and tell you how much of the truck your stuff will take up before they start. Labour, dump fees, and everything else are all included. I had to get rid of some stuff that couldn't be moved to a new place but was on a budget and they worked with me to get the price to what I could afford. Since a lot of the stuff I had was already out on the curb, they could lower the price a bit.

The service was fantastic. The booking process was easy. I booked online a few days ahead of time, but they can often do last minute as well. They called about half an hour before the scheduled window and said they could arrive early if that was ok. The guys were friendly and fast, cleared absolutely everything, and took a huge amount of stress out of the process. I'll definitely use them again when I need them.

garbage from a bathroom and kitchen renovation

This charge was far more than expected!! the math was wrong on the invoice and all kinds of extra charges were added on top of the whopping $750 for a half load!! Then, to top it off, when they put it through on my credit card they charged $500 more!! Now I have this incredible hassle to get a new bill and have the original charge taken off. Do not use this company!!!

Rubbish removal

I called for a quote and to book a service. When they arrived, they quadrupled the cost and refused to give me an invoice to detail the charges. This company has been unreasonable and unpleasant to deal with and the whole experience was a total disaster.
