Called them to fix kitchen drain pipe leak going down the basement. Although I had already identified the fault location behind dry wall in the basement, they still charged me $500 for cutting 10"x10" in drywall and replacing the broken pvc pipe bend. Although job itself was completed in 20 min the guy (William) who came to fix the leak spent at least 1 hour just sitting in his van parked outside my home. I think he was making effort to justify his time spent on job for which he charged me $500. I am mentioning this here because the same guy did same thing again after few days when i asked them to quote me for installation of kitchen faucet and undersink plumbing for which they quoted me around $700.
Their plumbers are used to spend more time outside customer house than inside addressing the problem. May be it has something to do with their time+cost charging to their employer for a particular job.
