He may have been doing foundations for 20 plus years . However, that doesnt not mean he has been doing them correctly for 20 years . His building code knowledge is near zero . His professionalism is sub-zero !!! His Professional advice was it was ok to construct footings for a new build on compacted gravel , without any protection from frost for said footings . Ever since the Inception of the Ontario Building Code , frost protection of footings has been paramount. At all stages of construction! Building Departments beware , this guy could cost you your job by pulling you into a lawsuit!
