We are pleased to provide this very positive endorsement of Al and his Envision team.
A friend suggested we consider Envision for some house renovations we wanted. He said that Envision really tried to stick to their agreed work schedule and completion date, which was important to us.
We met with Al and described the development of a mud room; a new handicapped accessible master ensuite; covering 2 outside concrete steps with Rundle rock; and a couple of small repair/changes. We felt comfortable with Al and his work plan. After receiving a cost estimate and 2 month time estimate we decided to proceed.
We liked their structured approach where the demo work did not start until we had selected the components for the final look (paint colors, flooring, wall tiles, bathroom fixtures, lights, etc.) so that new construction could immediately follow the demo. With the assistance of two designers that Al contracted, this selection part of the process went quite quickly, in part because we already knew the look we wanted.
As this was being completed we got our first electronic detailed schedule of work activities, and demo began. There was a smooth transition from demo to rebuild. New work was being done almost every day which we thought was pretty impressive considering that Al and his team were trying to keep contractors separate to avoid any Covid problems.
A couple of unexpected issues stretched the completion date about 3 weeks. Al and his team ensured work was done properly and to the high standard we wanted, catching a few things we had missed.
We appreciated that they wanted any feedback that could help their future work. After completion we got a new tapping sound in the plumbing. The plumber was back very quickly (at no charge) and tracked the sound to the water meter which the City has now replaced - the tapping sound is gone.
We are very happy with the results of this renovation. Of equal importance to us is that Al, his team, and all his contractors were friendly, polite, helpful, Covid wary, nice people to interact with.
