Window Installation - poor follow-up service
When windows were being installed, one of the old windows shattered. A lot of debris was scattered throughout our dining room and exterior of the house that was not cleaned up. After installation, we noticed that an antique painting in our dining room had been damaged by a screw that ripped through the canvass. When we contacted the company their response was that they could not see how this could have happened and it was not their fault. We requested that they come and look at the painting and damage. When they did, they insinuated that we had caused the damage. The company refuses to return emails and phone calls and accept responsibility for the damage. They also refuse to provide a receipt of payment in full despite repeated requests and the fact that our cheque was cashed over 3 weeks ago.
- Approximate cost of services:
- $6,000.00
- What could this company do to improve their services?
- Follow-up immediately with customers who have concerned. Provide receipt of payment in full immediately.
- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- Avoid this company. While the windows look great, their service is deplorable. The installers did not clean up after their work and we still have debris around the house. They refuse to accept responsibility to damage caused to our property during installation.
