Alo was amazing. I have rarely (maybe never) dealt with such a responsive, professional and helpful contractor. Terri was patient, utilized her great taste to help me make the right calls and delivered expedited service even though they were swamped with jobs. I wish I could hire Alo for everything else. The quality of their work was exceptional, delivery extremely reasonable...honestly I wish there were more stars I could give them. If you need upholstery work, this is where you want to go. Trust me.

Alo Upholstery did a fantastic job making 2 double headboards and a window valance for our bedroom. Darren helped us pick a fabric and then created beautiful, sturdy and elegant pieces. From our initial meeting until delivery, Darren was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an upholsterer. In fact, I recommended Darren to a friend and she too was very pleased with the draperies he created for her home.

I had 4 old chairs with caning on them that I wanted to convert to an upholstered seat using my own fabric. Darong came to my place to look at the chairs and make his recommendation which I found to be an experienced opinion so I had him proceed. The chairs were ready in a week and our scheduled delivery was exactly at the time he promised. Super friendly , super good customer service!!

Alo Upholstery is one of the most professional outfits that I have ever worked with. We moved into a brand new home and needed window coverings throughout. Alo did an amazing job assisting with decor choices and offering up suggestions. The result was impressive in terms of producing and installing these curtains. They also recovered a sectional couch for me in off white leather, which turned out fantastic ! Lastly they created a round sectional couch that wrapped around a post in our basement. They were always reliable, honest and thoroughly professional. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Great Job Alo !

I am over the moon with how my two living room chairs turned out. They look better than new. The work was done to perfection and in a reasonable amount of time for a fair price. This company is a pleasure to deal with. Can't recommend highly enough. 10+.

ALO Upholstery and Interiors was recommended to me by a former design school classmate who used them many times and raved about them. I hired them to reupholster an old grey armchair in orange velvet I was supplying and I am ecstatic about the final product. I was quoted the costs and advised how much fabric would be required. They picked up my chair and fabric and returned it BETTER than new less than 3 weeks later. Their workmanship is impeccable. They made improvements to the chair's design by adding piping around the bottom and all seams for a more finished look and the fabric on the back and sides is taut as a drum (before it was a bit flimsy). Their pick up and delivery times were kept to a 1 hour window so you're not waiting around all day. As a designer, I also have to say their pricing is VERY competitive not only for Toronto, but given their store location is in the pricey Forest Hill area. I will definitely be using them again for myself or clients and recommend them to other designers for upholstery and drapery needs.
Designer Tip: even if you don't think your seat foam needs replacing, spring the few extra dollars to have them do it. It really makes a huge difference!
