ALO Upholstery and Interiors was recommended to me by a former design school classmate who used them many times and raved about them. I hired them to reupholster an old grey armchair in orange velvet I was supplying and I am ecstatic about the final product. I was quoted the costs and advised how much fabric would be required. They picked up my chair and fabric and returned it BETTER than new less than 3 weeks later. Their workmanship is impeccable. They made improvements to the chair's design by adding piping around the bottom and all seams for a more finished look and the fabric on the back and sides is taut as a drum (before it was a bit flimsy). Their pick up and delivery times were kept to a 1 hour window so you're not waiting around all day. As a designer, I also have to say their pricing is VERY competitive not only for Toronto, but given their store location is in the pricey Forest Hill area. I will definitely be using them again for myself or clients and recommend them to other designers for upholstery and drapery needs.
Designer Tip: even if you don't think your seat foam needs replacing, spring the few extra dollars to have them do it. It really makes a huge difference!
