Edward came highly recommend to us and I hired him to renovate the kitchen and bathroom in order to upgrade for the sale of our house. We had no idea where to start.

After 14 years of living in a condominium, my mom and I were finally able to make her dream come true; buy a house! The house we purchased was perfect and it a great location, however, the dream wasn't quite fulfilled yet because the house needed some pretty intense renovations for us to be able to call it "a home". Coming from a construction backround from employment, I put my nose to the grindstone and began my research to find the "perfect" company that could help my mom and I fulfill our (mainly her) dream. I called and had countless meetings with over a dozen general contractors and renovation/ construction companies and finally stumbled upon McLean Construction and Renovation. From many years of experience in the construction field, I can say 100% that I know expertise when I see it! I had a meeting with McLean and knew right away that this was the perfect company for the job! The meeting was not a waste of my time or full of bogus plans and sugar coated promises to lure me in like many renovation companies tend to be just to get business from you. Instead I was presented with knowledgeable people in the industry, a very detailed breakdown of the work entailed to complete the scope of work, detailed breakdown of cost for every portion of the reno project, a group of creative minds to help our own ideas be even better and bring them to life, proof of past projects that they had completed with phenominal results and one of the most courteous, polite, informative and professional groups of people you will ever meet in the construction industry! I have to say I was pretty blown away! We signed a contract with McLean to take on the job and to this day I'm so thankful that we did! The house needed a pretty hefty facelift to say the least! The renovation included a brand new kitchen complete with a more functional layout and optimal use of space, restoration of existing hardwood flooring, new staircase and railing, new baseboards, trim, doors and casings complete with modern hardware throughtout the home, painting throughout, installation and wiring of new light fixtures, replacement of old windows and a brand new double front door complet with a spectacular transom above. The renovation was completed with the least disturbance possible for such a huge project, within the promised time frame, on budget, met every building code and most importantly, to our liking! Everything went smoothly and the finished product is absolutley stunning! It was a pleasure dealing with McLean Construction and I will definitley be calling them back to complete further renovation projects that my mom and I have planned! We can't thank you enough for all the hard work and dedication put into this project! McLean Construction helped me make my moms dream come true; we started out with "a house" but now we have "a home"! We look forward to working with your company on our next renovation venture!! LEFT US IN DEBT AND UNFINISHED BASEMENT, THEY ONLY DID FRAMING, WALKED AWAY, THEY DEMANDED TO BE PAID EVERY WK EQUAL PAYMENT BECAUSE ACCORDING TO THEM THE JOB WOULD BE FINISHED IN 4 TO 6 WKS 2 MONTHS LATER IT BASICALLY FRAMED LAST PAYMENT HELD, THEY TOLD US TO USE IT TO BUY, DRYWALL, LAMINATE FLOORING,DOORS, TRIMS, BASEBOARDS, CERAMICS, AND MORE. ALL MATERIALS AND INSTALLATION OF MATERIALS WAS ALL INCLUDED IN THE CONTRACT WHAT THEY QUOTED US FOR! WHEN WE QUESTION THEM ABOUT QUANTITY OF PAYMENTS THEY WOULD CALL US, "STUPID, DUMB, WE DON"T KNOW WHAT THINGS COST, THEY ARE THE CONTRACTORS NOT US, AND NASTY NAMES" WE WERE CONCERNED EVERY WEEK AND QUESTIONED THEIR TIMELINE THEY GUARANTEED US THAT "ALL THE MONEY THEY COLLECTED WAS PUT ASIDE IN A BANK ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE OUR MATERIALS AND COVER THEIR LABOUR" THEIR WORD WAS AS GOOD AS THEIR CONTRACT!!! WHEN PAYMENTS WERE DONE THEY WERE GONE WITH THE WIND. WE WOULD CALL THEM THEY WOULD REASSURE US AND TELL US, "THEY WILL BE AT OUR DOOR NEST DAY, THAT THEY WERE DOING ANOTHER JOB". WE WOULD GET ANGRY WITH THEM THEN THEY WOULD TELL US WE JUST RECORDED OUR CONVERSATION, THEIR INTEGRITY WAS NOT FOR THE CUSTOMER THAT GAVE THEM A JOB AND PAID THEM AND TRUSTED THEM AT THEIR WORD!!! OVER `1 YEAR AGO AND THEY HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING ELSE OR RETURN MONEY THAT WE PAID THEM FOR A FINISHED BASEMENT ONLY BASIC NOTHING FANCY, BASICALLY WE GOT NOTHING AND THESE "PROFFESSIONAL CONTRACTORS" HAVE OUR MONEY. HOW CAN THEY RUIN FAMILIES FINANCIAL LIVES AND JUST CHANGE COMPANY NAMES, SOMETHING IS SADLY WRONG!!!bbb rated them a C- same people under old company name No Limits Design. BE VERY CAUTIOUS. IF THEY WERE HONEST SHOULD PAY US BACK FOR MONEY THEY RECEIVED AND DID NOT PURCHASE MATERIALS AND WORKED, "AS STATED IN THE CONTRACT, THEY WROTE AND SIGNED"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
