My senior father was talked into buying one furnace and then renting another in the span of ten years. After buying his first furnace, he was harangued into thinking he needed a new one. I had an outside company check his furnace and they confirmed the fact that his furnace was fine. However, because Gregg's kept coming and performing furnace checks, they kept on him about how he needed to buy a new furnace until they talked him into renting a new furnace. Then last year they told him that the air condensation problem he was having with his window could be solved by either buying all new windows or but trying out their air recovery unit that would circulate air all over the house. My younger aunt lived there too and was led to believe that it was something that could be removed I it didn't work. Imagine her surprise when we found out that not only could it not be removed, but it was also a 7 yr. rental! Now I order to sell the house, we either had to buy out the equipment or pass the debt onto the new owners. Well no one wants to buy a house AND a furnace AND an air recovery unit. So it cost $8000 to sell his house.
