I had a leak in the basement roof and a washroom issue, and my reliable, trustworthy contractor for more than ten years had moved away from GTA, so I was looking for someone. A friend of mine referred Abdul, who had done close to 500K renovations. On both occasions, Abdul was diagnosed properly and fixed. My diagnosis was incorrect, and a dishonest contractor could have used it to advantage stack over 10K renovations easily.I trusted Abdul and asked for quotations for two washrooms. The quotations were not cheap as in online quotes (I checked a couple), but reasonable. I decided to go ahead with Abdul and am convinced I made the correct choice. Abdul hires experts for each area. Demolition, plumber, painter, electrician, etc were all different individuals who were very skilled in what they did. Abdul frequently came to oversee the work.
Abdul delivered as promised. Abdul mentioned the time required during the initial discussion, and I could see why. We discussed further renovations, and again, Abdul explained the time required. That timeline didn't work for me, and Abdul could have changed the timeline to get the business and delay later. He did not, and I am happy about being upfront.
In addition to washrooms, when Abdul was visiting to oversee the work, he fixed several issues free of charge. Abdul is a people person interested in trust and maintaining good relationships and not there to make some quick money and disappear.
I would recommend Abdul for any renovation.
