Formwork for Stairs and Exterior Door installation
I hired Ryan to build concrete forms for a set of front entrance stairs and install a window and couple of exterior doors. He could not have botched it up more eventually walking away after putting in half a footing, poorly installing one door and giving up on a double door. On the one door that he poorly installed, no shims were used to level and plumb the door, he basically just put a screw through the jamb into the 2x4 framing. I'm glad that he couldn't figure out how to install the double door. When you first meet him, he talks about how experienced he is, and how professional of a job he does, and that he has worked on the love it or list it show on tv. At the end, I had to ask him to leave as he was not able to properly complete anything that was tasked. I was surprised that he actually asked to be paid a partial amount, as he did not actually finish any part of the job, but to be rid of him, I figured it was a cheap price to pay. He advertises on craigslist.
