Kitchen and bathroom backsplash, calgary ab

Brothers too "many excuses" contracting.

When we first met Dave he won us over with this smooth talking charm. Things took a turn for the worse once the project started. Then it was nothing but excuses and delays.

Currently we are sitting with an unfinished bathroom backsplash and LED under lighting that does not match. Dave has since refused to complete or fix the project.

Dave and his team left behind garbage on the first day of work, left our home unlocked and even scratched our floor initially refusing to take ownership for the damage before begrudgingly fixing with a stain crayon.

After more delays, Dave took it upon himself to enter our home without permission. This caused our home alarm to trigger. Later, he tried to convince us the LED mismatch had to due with the colour of our pantry door. We simply looked under the cabinet and could see his team had combined two leftover scrap strips together. Again only after following up repeatedly did he finally take ownership.

The final straw? We found broken tiles and grout in our sink drain due more careless work occurring when they removed our old backslash.

In Dave's professional opinion our house has a hex on it and a $100k project is his priority not finishing the job he promised us. Clearly smaller jobs are not worth his time.

Lack of respect, extremely unprofessional, dishonest, and careless craftsmanship sum up brothers too contracting.

Approximate cost of services:
$2,000.00

Company Response

Everything here is absolutely true..yes we did scratch the floor and repaired it same day...the under cab led lights are totally our fault as the 2 strips we had left didn't match exactly but subsequently we have provided 2 new strips..as for entering without permission, I had a key and was driving by and thought I would pop in to measure for new lights and of course the alarm was on..I paid false alarm fee...now here's the real reason this job went south..everything was fine until Zach found some small tile pieces in the drain where we were replacing backsplash in bathroom..it was at this point on Father's Day that he decided to call my machine and leave a profanity-laced tirade.. I'm sorry but professionalism goes both ways and that was the straw that broke the camel's back.. it was at this point I informed him we would no longer be coming on site and that he could finish grouting the backsplash and have an electrician replace the Free Lights I gave him... it has nothing to do with the size of the job it has to do with the quality of the client
