Clear My Snow

I have been a customer for 3 years now. My wife and I rely on them in the winter because neither of us are able to shovel after a big storm.

They always clear the snow within the day and put down salt on our walkway. For the price they offer, we think the service is well worth it. Customer service has largely been pleasant as well.

I definitely recommend.

0 for a bad job in clearing my driveway
0 for not responding to repeated alerts to fully clear my driveway even after they are told that it hasn't been done

They have fancy contracts to show professionalism. But they are anything but professional.
I called them this morning for the 4th time since the snowfall began this season, letting them know that it is the 4th time I have had to call them about my driveway not being cleared & the only response they had was this "you can continue threatening us".

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVEN IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT!

Last year I had hired clear my snow and all of their claims were false. The snow on my property is only ever cleared once and was always almost 15 hours after the first snowfall. It is almost impossible for me to get in and out of my driveway in the morning to go to work because it is never cleaned until night time. When you speak to them to hire them they are so kind but as soon as they are hired the customer service is the worst I've ever seen. I am repeatedly told that I have to deal with it and that they will get to me eventually. Considering the amount of money they charge for this service they should hire many more drivers to clean and stop being cheap. This is the second year I have made the mistake of hiring them and it is the first snowfall of the year and the same thing has happened. It is almost 6:00 pm now and nothing has been cleared. I am unable to enter or leave my driveway. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! They are full of false claims, fake helpful customer service and people only looking to make money.

This is the worst company to deal with who are full of false promises. While contracting their services I was assures that trucks were sent out once 5cm has fallen and will return if another 5 cm has fallen. This was not happening. Complained multiple times and the previously kind and sweet ladies in the office who made all the promises while selling me the service were suddenly incredibly rude saying my expectations were too high and the trucks are not even sent out until the storm is over! So 30cm falls, that's when they start clearing. NOT WHAT THEY SAID AND NOT WHATS IN MY CONTRACT! They did not care and were very rude. Money wasted as we are not getting the service we paid for. Do not use this company

Customer service reps listen to your concerns and try their best to do something about it. I've been using this company for the past 3 years now and they are easy to deal with.

Clear My Snow gets a 0-rating for its lack of service in a timely fashion, giving me false assurances to get my business and charging me for a service they did not perform.
When considering this company I talked with Nancy in the office and expressed my need to be able to exit my driveway 7:30am to get to work. She told me that while they couldn’t guarantee times, with Clear my Snow I would never have to worry about a snow build-up in my driveway. She said that their trucks go out as soon as there is 5cm of snow, cover their routes and keep going until the snow stops and everyone is completely clear. Based on that assurance I hired them.
Saturday December 14th we had a major snowstorm. By early afternoon no truck had been by and there was no way I could have left my driveway. I checked their website “update” page and there was a note saying their trucks would *start* going out at 3pm. By that time there was well over 10cm of snow. So much for the assurance of no-snow-build-up and the obviously false claim that they start going out at 5cm!
In fact the truck did not come until just before 2pm Sunday. Had the storm occurred Sunday instead of Saturday I would not have made it to work at all on Monday! Meanwhile since I had no idea if or when they were coming, and since Sunday was my only day to run errands, I flagged down a local fellow with a snow tractor and paid him to clear my driveway completely. 2 of my neighbours witnessed him doing so, including hand-shovelling.
So when the Clear my Snow Truck came they drove into a cleared driveway. There was nothing to do. Meanwhile I emailed Shannon at the company to let them know they were fired. I also noted that the time-line to clear my driveway was unacceptable; if they can’t clear out customers within a timely fashion they need to hire more drivers or take on fewer employees.
Her response was that they would charge me the $50 cancellation fee as per the contract. (1st time I’ve ever heard of a fired-employee taking severance pay! It’s not like I was changing my mind because I found a better deal.) And there would be a charge for one service.
I emailed back asking her “what service?!” since the truck did nothing more that come into an already cleared driveway. I never heard back but did get a credit memo for my payment minus the $50 + a service. I should be charging them what I had to pay the other guy!
So folks, if you want a company that over-promises, under-delivers and will misinform you of their procedures to get your business – then Clear My Snow is the route to go! Otherwise, steer clear of this business!
