They came when I needed them and they were friendly and polite, but that's about it. They had to come by 3 or 4 times as they had to keep adding ice melter to the roof. This cost me $400. They put in some ice melting cable on the roof for $600. They took advantage of the fact that I was stuck with water coming into my house. So I essentially paid them $1000 for a couple of hours of work and $100 worth of materials.

A great deal of experience and knowledge is required to do this job correctly and not to incur damages to the building or people. Even the unloading, set up and use of ladders in such adverse weather require skill and attention.
Removing ice from your roof is not a minor thing. We actually in this case made 3 extra visits to be sure the client was cared for. The leak was stopped. Although we normally do not recommend the installation of heating cables in the winter, it really was required on this house in order to stop further damage.
