We started our renovation with such high hopes but the project ended prematurely (and was left incomplete) leaving us with absolute disappointment. We had to hire another company to fix the shoddy work Luis left behind.

Luis can do alot of things but unfortunately in our home he did nothing really well. Based on the work he did for us, I can only conclude that he is nothing more than a glorified handyman parading as a professional contractor. My suggestion is to keep looking. He was a nightmare.

If you read Luis' reply to this post, don't believe a word - just look at the pics. He is trying to paint me as the problem when he needs to look into the mirror. This job was not finished as Luis was fired from the project due to poor workmanship. He makes it sound like he returned my money but this is untrue. He paid back a small portion of the pre-paid installment payments which were made in good faith and on time. Despite what he says below, he just could not deliver what he promised and what he did deliver was generally sub-par.

A third contractor (not hired) that saw pics of the work said, "The picture you sent me needs to be completely torn out, absolutely terrible work, Im not touching that with a 12ft pole. Sorry man, dont take it the wrong way. Im not interested in fixing anyone elses work or having someone elses work be the base for my work. If youre not willing to tear that out, Ill pass."

We hired LSB Renovations to do our floors and stairs. At the time we only wanted to do the living room and the upstairs hallways, as they were doing the job they showed us the difference that would make if we would do the rooms as well with no sales pressure on us, it actually made more sense to do the all house, which we agree and it looks great, way better than I ever imagine, after the great job he did for us, we hired him again to paint the all house has the prices here great.
In both occasions he was done within the time period agreed.

Luis from LSB renovation was referred from one of our friend who had done some work with them. Luis comes up with strong work ethics, knowledgeable, tireless, dedicated and informative. Work we had was a complete make over of our home and Luis didn't disappoint us. Main thing we liked about his commitment and timing. He was able to finish the amount of work he had to do within the time he originally quoted to finish the work.

Quality of the work is commendable and would refer Luis and Shawn from LSB to my friends.

Whole House Renovation
Luis was involved in 2 very large projects with us. 1) a complete tear down and rebuild and 2) whole house renovation. In both cases Luis's work and reliability were fantastic. The projects were completed in time and on budget.

I highly recommend Luis and his team. With Luis on the job you are guaranteed great, reliable and affordable work.

I will gladly engage Luis on all my future projects.

We had Luis and his crew come and do some renovations on a fixer upper we purchased. Flooring was replaced and laid down in the upstairs bedrooms. The whole house was repainted. The foyer had beautiful tile laid down. We had all the baseboards replaced on the main level and the powder room came out beautifully with new paint, tile, vanity, mirror and lighting. We also had a semi finished basement that Luis was able to complete for us. New flooring put in (a great durable laminate that he recommended), drywall, painting, baseboards, new laundry room and another bathroom was put in and turned out great! We were happy with his work and everything came in budget and he was able to finish in a timely manner.

LSB renovations did my basement including a full bathroom and kitchen and I have never been happier! They were easy to communicate with as far as my needs and wants for the project and were able to stay on budget. Most importantly the service and quality were for sure a 10/10 and I would definitely recommend them to anyone! Honest, hard working and skilled crew, can’t wait for my next renovation to be done.

Luis was prompt - always showed up on time. Attention to detail was not good. Still waiting for receipts for hardwood (so he said) that is now breaking and chipping. Stain on our stairs is also coming off. I now have to hire another contractor to fix, possibly replace our hardwood as well as repair our stained stairs. A total rip off. Several emails to Luis about the receipts for the hardwood floors - claims he does not have them. Very interesting as all business are required to keep receipts for a period of seven years.

I'm very unhappy with Louis' and Sean's work. They put down the wrong tiles because they were cheaper than what we had ordered and paid for. The work was shoddy and a mess. They cut every corner possible and billed us for work that was never done. Extremely disappointed.

We hired LSB Renovations to upgrade our washrooms. The kids were sharing a single sink and we wanted to upgrade to a double sink. The kid’s bathroom tub was also extremely deep so we wanted to put in a shallower tub. In the Master washroom, we had a soaker tub that we never used. We wanted to remove the tub and replace it with additional storage (make up counter and a linen closet). With the extra space, we decided to increase the size our shower.
We invited multiple contractors to provide a quote on our project. The kid’s washroom was very straight forward whereas the master washroom was more involved. I was looking for creativity and allowing each contractor to propose the best use of the available space. I found that Luis proposed options that would make the washroom more functional whereas other contractors proposed options that would just drive the price up. It was obvious that Luis has a wealth of experience and has been doing renovations for many years. Luis also provided a very detailed quote and an accurate estimate of how long the project will take. The project was on time and on budget.
Luis did everything possible to minimize the impact on us during the renovations. He delayed certain tasks to ensure we always had a working washroom for us to use during the renovations. Luis was always receptive to our concerns and did everything possible to ensure we were happy. Luis also looked for ways to save us money. We were short a couple tiles from what the builder left behind, so instead of ripping it out completely, we came up with patterns using newer tiles to complement the existing tiles. Luis was also open to making changes along the way and never once charged us extra for any of the modifications. He even fixed a couple extra things around the house that needed attention.
The cabinetry guy he uses is extremely top quality. The new vanities/counter tops he installed are better quality then our existing cabinets that came with the house.
During the project, it was generally Luis and his son that were here every day. We didn’t have an army of trades people coming in and out of the house. We felt comfortable with Luis and we are looking forward to working with him on our next project.
