Call Jamie Painting&Drywall

Two days of painting services for a 950 ft2 condo (all rooms) provided by Jamie and AJ. Half the cost was for labor and other half for material (color was light so more paint was needed).

I contacted Jamie a few months ago when budget planning for purchasing my first home this summer. He was very helpful with providing budget estimates based on rough idea of apartment size and layout. When I finalized paperwork on the purchase, Jamie came as soon as he was called to do an on site visit and explained how his team would approach the job (i.e. take off all electrical plates, tape all areas that needed protection, cover floors, move furniture etc). He patiently answered all questions I had about his services and took note of requests (there were a bit patching, sanding etc needed). As the paint color chosen was quite light and existing color was darker, Jamie and his assistant AJ used several coats of paint to ensure there was total coverage. In places where there were visible lines and indentations on the wall (from a previous drywall project not done perfectly well and holes not properly patched), Jamie and AJ took the time to ensure the wall was flat and looked smooth from all angles. AJ also provided complimentary handyman service by helping fix little problems with closets, window blinds etc. After the job was complete, there was a slight issue with one place on the wall so AJ came back with another member of the crew to look it over and fix the problem without charging additional fees. The condo looks beautiful and the project came in on budget.

Jamie was awesome! Communicated quickly and visited right away to give an estimate, which was also provided in short order. Work started shortly thereafter and it was done professionally and reasonably priced. Very impressed.

I hired Jamie to do the mudding in my basement. What a great decision . I chose Jamie after visiting this web site. For this project he needed to come over my house 4 times, he came on time every time, and dud a great job. He also did some cleaning after the last touch visit. He even called a few days later to see if I was satisfied. when I told him that I thought the mudding needed a touch up in one spot, he came over in 15 minutes and fix it. When Jamie is working, he is working, nothing else, very satisfied will hire again.
For some people this will matter: he is non-smoker.

I hired Jamie to repair two awkwardly shaped holes in my ceiling (incurred as part of some HVAC work by another company). Not only did I need the holes filled in, but I also required this new part of ceiling to be stippled to match the rest (i.e. popcorn finish). He's not kidding when he says he always answers his phone! Very personable, punctual, excellent customer service and his work was beyond reproach; my ceiling looks amazing and seamless. I thought the price was very fair and I would definitely hire him again. I also appreciated that he cleaned up and vacuumed my carpet afterwards leaving the work site spotless. Thanks Jamie!

Jamie did a great job reparing our walls and ceilings. He was very friendly and responsive to our needs, very punctual and efficient. He did the work in less time than expected and left the workplace completely clean. I'm happy to have chosen him for this job.

Jamie repaired the drywall tape in the kitchen. It looks excellent. The surface is nice and smooth and he did a good job of cleaning up the dust afterwards. Price was fair and scheduling was easy.

Jaimie is a great guy. Nice work, very affordable- he's likely the cheapest price in the business but definitely not the cheapest end product. I love how he sprayed all our baseboards, such a polished, professional look. And excellent after service follow-up.

We were beyond happy with the work that Jamie did for us! He is an extremely hard worker, very dedicated, and very talented! We put up the drywall ourselves (and it did not look perfect...), but with Jamie's skills, he made it look really smooth and professional. The details: My husband and I found Jamie on Ottawa Home Stars. We recently bought and began renovating a home in the west end of Ottawa. We had several drywalling repairs that were needed to walls and ceilings.

Jamie showed up to give us a quote exactly when he said he would and then sent the quote the same evening - a rarity in our experience. The price was very reasonable. Unlike another contractor who claimed we would need to remove existing drywalling and have it replaced, Jamie was able to salvage the existing drywalling saving us money.

This set the tone for the rest of the work. Jamie came to our house everyday on time to carry-out the work. He was meticulous and careful and the results are amazing! The nicest walls and ceilings in our house are Jamie's work.

Jamie is a polite, charming, hard-working and cheerful person. You can tell he really likes his job and it shows in his work. I joked to him that he is an artist, but in all seriousness his work really is an art. His drywalling work blends seamlessly with the old drywalling.

I will be recommending him to my friends, co-workers and neighbors who need drywalling repairs carried out in Ottawa.
