Sigh. We decided to take the plunge last year and paid a professional to deal with mice and small wildlife problem (personally thought it was a racoon, turned out to be squirrels).
Rana took our $600 and did poison stations for the mice (didn't work at all, had to google and resolve ourselves which did work) and the one-way door was for racoon but turned out to be squirrels. Thought more adjustments would have been made, and he did indeed come back 1-2 more times to collect his one-way door and rudimentary fix the hole with wiring but the squirrels went through that fast and got back in. Didn't respond after, never wanted to go in and check or go further (which I'm now realizing is normal for other professionals to do).
Not like he did nothing, but kinda felt like 'bare minimum' rather than ensuring that our pest problem was gone.
Now having to pay again to fix the problem that was left unfinished so paying double for the job basically.
