- Company Response
The consumer that has left a review with home stars has had our technicians up to investigate noise from his fireplace. Not accepting our explanation of the noise, the consumer has called the manufacture directly, who also has advised the consumer of expansion noises. The manufacture called us to discuss and asked if we could return and make another call to the consumer to check and adjust a few things, which we did. Upon evaluating the fireplace, the noise has been determined to be heat expansion noise. The manufacture has been contacted, by ourselves and the consumer to discuss and is now in the hands of the manufacture.
Of note, operating a fireplace at a lower setting during different times of the year will keep a fireplace on longer before a wall thermostat is satisfied, this will not only help eliminate the chance for heat expansion noises (as there will be limited time for temperature difference in the metal) but will also create a much more enjoyable even heat.
We have worked with Napoleon customer support group for many years and respect their input and solutions.
