First Choice Fence

We found First choice from HomeStars and it was the first fence company we contacted. It should have been the last. They provided us with the best quote, were easy to work with and did a quality job on our full privacy fence. They also installed the fences for 4 of our neighbours. We are very happy with our fence and look forward to hiring them again when our back neighbours agree to replace our adjoining fence. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I had 4 posts that were rotten and a leaning fence. I called 8 companies and Pratema was the only one who called me back. It was a smaller job but she knew how desperately it needed to be fixed. She rearranged a few of her jobs and showed up with her team and replaced everything in 3.5 hours!! Her team did an amazing job and totally cleaned up the site! She also replaced my dysfunctional gate lock with a new one!
This is an extremely professional team who follows up and completes the job--they exceeded my expectations! I would recommend them to anyone!

What can I say about First Choice Fence? They should be your first and only choice to be quite honest! Like all my other home renovations, I take my time and complete Due Diligence on all companies and people I call for quotes/estimates, so this site comes quite handy when doing so! Knowing a bit about the fencing trade and having completed many reno jobs big and small I knew I a good number for companies I should call for this particular job would be 10, as calling different companies in the middle of the peak season would probably eliminate 5-7 companies as the good reputable ones would be booked up and either schedule something for late fall(weather pending) or early spring the following year or you wont even get a courtesy call back. After making my initial round of calls I was bang on and was left with 3 companies and First Choice being one. Out of the 3, Pratema was THE ONLY COMPANY to actually come out and give a paper estimate for free(a few companies wanted to charge an estimate fee of $50) and they were also the highest ratings on Homestars between the 3. I was surprised when Pratema came in the cheapest per sq/ft and she promised a rough time line for a start week, weather permitting and she took no deposit. I was pleasantly surprised when she called me a few weeks ahead of schedule and asked if she could start sooner, within a couple of days. The job in total took 2 days as they did a total of 108 sq/ft of fencing(combined wood and iron) plus a few gates. They did what they said and left no surprises or scares and my wife and I are 1000% happy with the whole process and end product.

Pratema and her crew are professionals. It was very pleasant to deal with them. There was always open communication between us and Pratema answered all of my questions and assured me all would be done. They came by on time as arranged for a estimate and quotation (it was difficult to line-up other contractors to even show up). It was very reasonable. Pratema showed up on time and completed our project as expected. There was always an open communication line between us (via cellphone or onsite) which was helpful for me in getting my questions answered. She is flexible and always set proper expectations regarding our conversations. I would not hesitate to recommend Pratema and First Choice Fence for any fencing projects.

Pratema and her team were terrific. Had to reinforce two rotted fence posts on a 14 year old fence. I was very happy with Pratema's solution to the problem and it was within my price range. Most companies I contacted wanted to replace the posts which would have been a lot more expensive. I highly recommend them!

Her quote was most competitive compare to others, and she was not pushing me to make decisions. Although I only need parts of the fences to be replaced, they did not mind whether the job is small or big. The team showed up on the day they promised and early. They were very professional, fast. The job was done high quality. After the job done, everything was cleaned up. My new fences looks nice, I so wish my neighbors will agree to replace the shared fences soon. This company will definitely be my first choice.

Really happy with the job they did. They worked hard, and finished the job in a timely manner. Pratema and her team were very professional from the first moment we talked to them about this project. I just wanted to tell everyone about the amazing experience I had with Pratema & First Choice Fence.

Knowing that fence contractors get booked up well in advance I started checking out companies to do my fence replacement the end of January 2015. I contacted 4 companies based on their Homestars reviews. Two companies never called back. One made appointments to come for an estimate but kept putting them off or cancelling at the last minute & rescheduling –due to weather & various other excuses…over & over.

Then there was Pratema .
We spoke on the phone & she came over for the estimate when she said she would even though there was a snow storm. She gave me various options & pricing for the 62 FT fence I needed replacing & a written quote on my choice. Since the ground was still frozen I was told the approximate timing of the install. She kept in touch throughout the spring & we made final arrangements once the mud had dried up. Since I have 2 giant dogs she ensured the install was done in 1 day vs the usual 2. Her crew was there on time-went straight to work & was fast & efficient. The old fence was removed-the posts set in cement & the fence up by around 4pm. The crew cleaned everything up & the yard looked better than when they arrived.

I HIGHLY recommend Pratema & First Choice Fence & will be calling her for the rest of the fencing next year!
