This company is a complete horror story the work was more than subpar still does not work correctly and they don’t have a clue how to fix there own work messy they left important wires behind walls put speakers in the wrong spot I had to have tricobhomes redo my whole bedroom ceiling because the speakers weren’t in the right location and one was a foot closer to the wall than the other they had to fix everything more than 3 times just don’t use them you will regret it

We recently built a new home with Homes by Avi and they contracted Showcase for the low voltage wiring. I only have a couple small gripes. They could have have left a little more slack on the runs in the mechanical room to give me more options for the enclosure location. They terminated 3 of the 5 external runs. When I asked about the one that wasn't terminated they said it was to prevent corrosion. That actually turned out fine because it allowed me to slip on one half of a weather proof boot before terminating and I had to cut the 8P8C off the other 3 to install weather proof boots on those runs. They also left zero slack on the two runs they didn't terminate so I don't have any flexibility in the future if I need it there. If they had given me an extra metre on those two runs and again in the mechanical room I would have given more stars.

We had all the low-voltage wiring in our house installed by Showcase, and what a pleasing experience it turned out to be. From the very first moment we stepped into Ben Strang’s office, we were served professionally. Ben gave us the best advice in which options to select and also saved us quite a bit of money by recommending that we do not add certain unnecessary features that we will never use. The installation was perfect and we are very happy with our choices. If you require exceptional, honest and professional service, you have to look no further than Ben and Showcase for all your low-voltage home requirements.

Showcase home automation system, right from the start of there work I knew something was not right, when you go for your electrical inspection everything to do with wiring is suppose to be be done, so when they go for drywall everything is good to go, well not SHOWCASE, no wiring was done. this should have been a red flag, but you pass it off, here is a small list of our trouble and things still not done. Went to look at prewiring of house, showcase was not done. Backing not put into living room TV mount. Called sales when possession date was issued from builder, was not on scheduler desk until 2 weeks later, waited 2 months for them to show up to start work. RTI system installed in an awkward spot, blocking entrance into furnace room. Installers 2 to 3 times longer than quoted @ $90/hr Programming 2 to 3 times longer quoted @ $120/hr Installers told me Prewire was done incorrectly, that why it took so long to do install when I was in my house. Has taken 12 plus days to do installing and programming, lost track of days after awhile, it was only suppose to be 4 days, and they are still not done. probably about $3000 over the estimated time they told me it would take. Screen in master bathroom way to low, it would work if you were 3 feet tall Paint around all light with scuff makes from changing to automated lights Things still to do thermostat still not tied to system, lights are flicking in hall way garage door not programmed and working, sound delays through TV’s, another $100 to fix, Face plate on main floor screen still loose, can see drywall cut out. Have to pay more to have a static IP to use outside of home about 25/ per year Another $600 for 5 licences for use with a iPhone, This is going to sound crazy, and this is what put me over the edge if I ever change me phone they have to redo entire app, it takes about 4 hours to build a new app at $120/hr, I know what your thinking, but you change you phone every 2 years, your right, oh lets do a little math, we have 2 iPhones 2 iPads, when we change out our phones thats over $1000 every 2 years. Can not program myself if I want to change small things another service call @ 120/hr Security system still not tied in and functioning. I'm 20k into a system that is still not functioning and is not user friendly. Over sold way under delivered. And they are still not done. they have been to my house over 12 days out of the 39 since I have taken possession and we are still not done yet. I have tried to come up with a solution, take the RTI and Security system and out of my house, give me a credit for those 2 items, and I would be happy. that totals about $6000

The staff at Showcase AV are very knowledgable about the product as well as the installation. They gave me many great ideas and showed me lots of awesome new stuff that I can implement into my home theatre. I appreciate the fact that I got the help I needed to solve my problem and could by what I needed and wasn't pressured into having to spend a tonne on an entire new system.

I needed a remote backup system for my home security. Joe and his team delivered on time and on budget and the resulting product is fantastic. I can control everything from my I-Phone, so cool.

A bit pricey but the owner Joe strang was a really nice guy and came over personally to oversee the installation just because he knew I was nervous about the cost. The theatre is better than I can imagine ! If i ever move I'll definitely go with Joes company again!

Extremely friendly sales staff and their office was very professional. Almost overwhelming when I walked in with the massive amount of cool things I could do with my home!
Installation was excellent. The technicians were very professional and left my house in perfect shape. Will have them back for sure.

BEWARE! These guys are rip-off artists. I wanted surround sound in my basement & speakers on my main floor & master bath for music. They sold me something completely useless & then said, sorry we made a mistake & left me high & dry. So I have some very expensive wiring in my house that is completely NON-FUNCTIONAL!!!!
