To create my dream kitchen, I wanted to tear down the wall between the small existing kitchen and the formal dining room. Only problem is that I wasn't sure if the wall was load bearing, which meant I needed to find a structural engineer.

I contacted Pezhaman from Rigid Frame and was able to set up an appointment quickly for him to assess the situation. He and his partner Arvin arrived on time at the home to assess the situation. They were very thorough in their review of the structure, took pictures and explained the situation in easy to understand language, My requested report was provided to me on the agreed to date and Pezhman followed up with me to make sure everything was in order.

Myself and my wife are opening a new dance studio in Pickering (Prodigy Dance and Performing Arts) and with the studio being in a retail plaza the city required an engineers drawing of the work being done. When the city had asked us for a separate drawing for another of their concerns (after the permit was already issued) BOTH Arvin and Pezhman came to the studio, did the work required and presented us a new drawing that satisfied the city within a few hours. Called based on reviews on homestars. I'm glad I did. They arrived on time finished the design very fast and had it back in my contractors hands. My contractor was so happy with them he is now using this company for other jobs. Do yourself a favor and call rigid frame first.

Our residential project involved removal of a load -bearing wall. Arvin and Pezhman responded with quick, competitive pricing, returned phone calls/emails on the same day and were willing to come for a site inspection even on a weekend to meet the needs of our tight schedule. When they arrived at our home they did a thorough inspection and provided us drawings within the timeline originally stated.

Very competitive price for amazing quality! Pehzman and Arvin both arrived for the initial assessment. It was raining that day, and they advised 30min before the appointment that they feared running late due to weather (although they arrived promptly as scheduled :). Extremely courteous, knowledgeable and professional. They took their time gathering information needed for assessment. After drawing delivery, they made themselves available to myself and my contractors for further discussion and questions. I had not problem getting the drawing approved by the city of Mississauga. I found Arvin and Pazman through Homestars. I compared their quote against that of several others' and theirs was the lowest. I asked them to provide some refenrences and they were happy to do that; all the references checked out.

As part of a basement renovation, the structural engineering job was to replace two large brick piers in the basement with new steel columns. Since the piers were supporting our house, it was critically important.

Arvin and Pazhman did two site visits and Arvin, the point person, was very judicious about responding to emails and phone calls. He also accommodated our schedule--especially commendable because the project timeline changed and he had to juggle the more erratic schedules of our contractor and architect. He did so without any complaint. In general, both Arvin and Pazhman were a pleasure to deal with. And the design they came up with worked seamlessly with the aesthetic of our renovation and erred on the side of maximum safety. I recommend them without reservation.

I have used Rigid on many projects and they are the by far the best at working together to come up with a solution that is not only realistic but also cost effective. Their ability to think outside the box and not be afraid of doing things in an unfamiliar way is what I feel sets them a part from the rest of the engineers out there.
