Premier Landworks

We had a great experience with Premiere Landworks. They landscaped our acreage front yard and turned what was a muddy mess into a beautiful garden oasis. We were very happy with the result of our patio seating area as well as our deck thanks to Helms creative vision. They put in sod for us as well as created a space for a vegetable garden. Helm was very knowledgeable and always went the extra mile to ensure we were happy with the result. Would highly recommend Premiere landworks and have recommended them to many friends who have also been very pleased with their level of work.

Don’t hire this company. I hired Helm to landscape my daughter’s backyard and he did not do what we asked. He has very poor skills and never answers his calls. Crews are very poorly trained and Helm lacks the skills to teach them. We asked for stone black and grey stone patio and he put in orange and pinkish stones. We asked for 10mm round washed rock and he put in black lava rock. ????? The lava rock was mixed with clay. One of his workers said it came from one their other jobs they were excavating. Helm makes excuses for all his mistakes. He was to excavate all the old sod and topsoil from the agreed work area as per the quote but instead all he had his crew do was remove the sod and said that he didn’t agree to remove the topsoil and I said read the quote. He just made up another excuse and I fired him and his poor excuse for landscapers. He then started calling my daughter’s phone asking for money because he needed to pay his crew and my daughter told him to call me. He called me and I said you didn’t do the job we agreed on as per quote. When you do the job correctly I will pay you in full. He never finished the job after many calls to him. Since then Helm has been calling my daughter on her phone and at her place of work. I told him several times the contract was signed by me and not my daughter. Helm kept calling her and harassing her so I called Calgary Police Service and reported him. This is what Helm does.

Chose Premier Landworks to do some Rear Patio repair work.
This involved regrade rear patio and provide positive drainage
away from the back of the house and foundation area. A new
stamped concrete patio and pathway was installed, foundation
and base repairs done to the back of the house.
Helm was often present on the job site to insure work was being done
properly. The Premier Landworks crew was very polite and considerate.
My wife and I are very satisfied with the patio work and we would
recommend that you consider using Premier Landworks for any of your
landscaping needs.

I received a recommendation for 3 companies. Out of all, Helmut was the first and only to reach out to me. He emailed and set a time the next day to come to my home and view the job. The other two companies I had to email. One company never ever replied and the other said they could not do the job for the price I wanted and "maybe " if I send pics and dimensions maybe. Forget those other two. Helmut came out gave the estimate well within my budget and within 3 days started. He and his team were polite, hard working , talented , and cleaned up after everything. They were in and out in 3 days finishing the job beyond our expectation. Seeing what a wonderful job they were doing we raised our budget so we could get the most beautiful brick and path blocks. We paid via e-transfer ... so easy ! We love our yard and after 13 years of not enjoying our backyard and being embarrassed of it, we now have extended our living space greatly and can not wait to get out there. Thank you for being fast, efficient and talented!!!

the neighbour and I needed our fence repaired. After seeking many different quotes, this company was the most persistent without being annoying and the easiest to deal with. They met on site for a quote and provided one very quickly. We decided to go with them. From the receipt of the deposit the entire project was done within a week! This was during some difficult weather and I am overall very impressed with the speed and efficiency with which they worked. the fence looks amazing and we would definitely recommend them to others in a second. We'll probably have them come back and do the other neighbour's fence in a couple years. 10/10 would recommend. Speed, professionalism, and quality rarely come in one total package, but these folks have it!

Due to COVID-19 I sent the measurements and they were the most reasonable contractor. The team was onsite early. Helmut managed the work well. Only concern is that they had several jobs working on and my job dropped in the space and created some disruption for both of us. However, the experience was a pleasant one. We started on Monday by dropping material and by Tuesday evening all completed.

I added $1 as i asnt able to uncheck the paid for this service option and it wanted a dollar value.

I am very happy I contacted premier for there services. At first I did not have a clear idea what I wanted but the designer helped me and the installation was fast as I expected. Excellent work. Professional employees.

An experience I would not want to repeat. Both the boss and the site lead were friendly and stated they were willing to do tasks other contractors declined to do. For this I hired them. The project started off slowly with the first few days consisting of dropping off tools and removing a fire pit. Not only was there a lack of communication, they refused or were reluctant to write things down and they also ignored or did not acknowledge what was written down. A two week job turned into a month and a half job. When I requested meetings, they didn't show up when they said they would, but would be there at times or days I was not expecting them. When I asked why they didn't contact me when there was a schedule change, because I was waiting for them, there was always an excuse. When they started on the sidewalk blocks, they were changing what was to be done based on thier preference (ex. the orientation, the distance between the blocks and the placement of the block). On top of that, I watched them fabric the area without prepping the ground. The areas to be mulched were not any different. When I tried to communicate or discuss corrections, there was a lot of push back and defensiveness or they walked away without responding and continued the same task as if I had not spoken. They placed all my stack stones on one corner of my deck, even though I repeatedly told them, and it was written, to place unused items to the side of my garage. The weight of the stones appeared to cause the deck to lean to that corner, which the boss denied. He said the deck was straight, but when I asked if he had a level tool, the conversation stopped. There were many partially completed tasks which the site lead said he was going to do nothing more with those tasks. I had to strongly insist on completing these tasks or tell him how to complete the tasks or bought the item for the task or say I would complete the tasks for them before some of it got completed. They promptly asked for payment when the agreed task was not completed for that payment or even when I expressed dissatisfaction with the task. For the first payment, I had to tell them twice to complete the task first and then I would pay them. When it came close to the final payment, the boss threatened a lien on my property, just because I said I was not satisfied with the quality of the work and wanted to see them fix it or give a discount for the below grade work before I gave them another cheque. If you have a vision, have specific ideas or have fairly high standard and want high quality workmanship, keep looking.
