When we failed an ESA inspection for aluminum wiring I called a few electricians to see what they could do. Since we were on a tight timeline we went with this electrician, as he is local and was available to come in to do a quote that week.
My first contact with the company wasn't that pleasant--a guy answered from his cell phone and was obviously driving and distracted, but my interactions with his partner, who did the actual work on our home, were great. He not only corrected all the defects in the home, and explained whatever we wanted to know, but he also replaced some of our lighting without charging us extra. My only real requirements were that we pass the ESA inspection, which he made sure that we did, but he also ensured he left our home with safe and practical wiring and electrical (he even had to rewire our dishwasher and added some closet lighting where a previous owner had messed it up).
Mr. Lau is also fluent in both English and Cantonese, for anyone who prefers an alternate language. They're not the kind of company with a receptionist or website, but they do their work well.
