small basement and small kitchen
The project was to renovate a small bungalows basement and the small kitchen upstairs. This contractor's ideas were decent however the execution of project was not to our satisfaction.
Timelines were simply not close to being met. The contract states that the renovation would take approx 3 months from commencement yet it took 11 1/2 months. At this time the City Inspector issued an Order to Comply to the Contractor to remove the drywall and allow them to inspect the structural work. Conflict ensued when contractor failed to comply, at this point we ended our relationship with Par-Tek.
The photos show what Par-tek believes is a suitable radiator installation (it isn't for more than the obvious cosmetic reasons) and how the pex pipe drill holes were improperly placed (far too close, and not centered on joist). It wasn't even the proper type of pex pipe for a heating system.
2024 update. When I first posted my review the contractor tried unsuccessfully to have it removed by being untruthful to Homestars. You can see in the contractors response that pettiness is the norm. Ex. "clients can't hold a screwdriver." Isn't that why people hire contractors? The issues we faced were are all created by this contractor. His response simply isn't true. Shame on him.

Sorry to say, this client was particularly challenging to work with.
The goal posts kept moving, for the entire project.
Constantly changing priorities and instructions, complemented by less-then-brilliant work by clients trades.
Client could not turn a screw diver. Literally.
We had great difficulty explaining the simplest of work scopes.
He could not appreciate the consequences of their changing demands on our budget and time.A very difficult project.
I had wished for a much better result for both parties.
