Hot Water Tank - Lack of response time and wrong technician
I called the service number and got the after hours number. I explained my situation that the pilot light on the water heater was not staying lit and asked for them to send someone to take a look. They could not get out to repair the issue until the next day in the afternoon, leaving us two days without hot water. I took some time off work to come home to meet the technician, only to find that the technician was a plumber and did not have a gas ticket so could not do the repair - extremely frustrating when it was clearly explained on the phone that the issue was with the hot water heater/pilot light (i.e. GAS!). Clearly you need to provide better training to those answering the phones and booking service so they are aware of what type of technician to send!
They could not reschedule or send the proper technician to deal with the problem that day and would not be able to get out until the following evening, leaving over 3 days without hot water...due to their own careless error.
We initially approached Roy Inch as they had originally installed the system of the home we just purchased so we figured they would know the system best. We were also going to sign up for the yearly service program at some point but will now seek another company as this is leaving a sour taste. We will not be dealing with them for any further services or maintenance - terrible service and incompetent after hours service call center.
