You Move Me Toronto/Gta

You Move Me came highly recommended by several personal contacts, but boy, were they a disappointment!
Booking went smoothly, staff were friendly and helpful, and even did an onsite visit to ensure an accurate estimate. But on the day of the move, You Move Me really dropped the ball!
First, I didn’t get the confirmation call 1-2 days before the move, even after I followed up with the office. Then, on move day, I got a call at 8:15 am, asking about the details of the move (which should have all been on file), and telling me that they would have to break up my move into two days, they didn’t have enough people for the crew, and that the move was booked wrong! What?? It seemed like it was the first time this person had even looked at my booking. So disorganized and such poor customer service.
Second, the crew that arrived was friendly, but I could tell they were tired and frustrated with the situation as well. They actually said that anything that wasn’t packed and in the truck by a certain time would be left behind. We were prepared to help out, but the pressure put on us was unwarranted. The reason we hired movers was because we couldn’t do it ourselves due to injuries and medical conditions. We would have gladly paid for more hours to get the job done right.
Overall, the move went. Period. I had to speak with sr management to get things resolved, and come to a solution that worked for us. And, I missed out on the coffee and the $50 dollar discount that they advertise so widely :(
On the flip-side, I was impressed with the care and consideration the crew took in handling our belongings. Everything made it safe and sound - eventually. And you can tell that they are experienced and knowledgeable about how to move people efficiently. And any follow-up that I did with the main office was handled promptly. If you are considering hiring this company, make sure the estimate seems realistic, and that you have a contingency (we were lucky that we had some flexibility; not everyone does).
