Mr. Mark Majeski aka Mark Henry Majewski of Durham Custom Flooring 71 Drew St. Oshawa L1H5A2 is very personable and will win your business. Our difficulty is that unfortunately my wife paid him in full while I was not at home (I had contracted the job and she is not up to speed about what would be a finished job) before the job was complete. The installer left some baseboard moulding undone claiming he ran out of material, made transitions in the flooring where I had "specifically" asked them not to be made, used transition (T Mouldings) that didn't come close to matching the flooring and were a raised type that would cause tripping. And he didn't re-install some doors. Initially I was prepared to let all of the issues go on the strength that Mr. Majeski would return to replace the transition mouldings with flat mouldings and a colour that matched the flooring (supplied by me) that would minimize the unsightly transitions in every doorway. After numerous calls, promises to return and no shows I have given up and will let a small claims court decide if Mr. Majeski reasonably fulfilled our contract. The last straw was when Mr. Majeski told me that for him to return "was doing me a favour". Another warning is that Mr. Majeski is not in the phone book or Yellow pages and a home number or address is not shown on his business card so without some sleuthing, if he doesn't want you to contact him you will have a difficult (but not impossible) time getting to small claims. I actually gave his company 2 stars rather than none for the installation because the crew of young fellows who actually did the install were fast and very courteous.
