Canada's Gardenland

Ayrat and his team installed a 16 by 32 swimming pool. They did an excellent job and all the work was completed as per scheduled time frame. They were professional and knowledgeable about all the aspects of the project. They also cleaned up the site very well when finished, so that it complied with all the stringent city regulations. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to install a swimming pool.

We are so lucky and fortunate that we met Ayrat and that he was able to fit our project in with his busy schedule. He has great attention to detail, amazing ideas and his work is impeccable.

Our project consisted of a pool(15 x30), interlock, glass pool fence, landscaping and gas fire pit. From the beginning and even after our project was complete, he always answered our questions right away. His team is extremely hard working… they didn’t even stop to eat lunch the whole time they worked on our project . When the diggers were driving on our driveway to excavate, he even protected our new driveway with a special ramp.

Ayrat helped us along the way with picking out stones, liners etc etc.

One thing that stuck out was that a couple months before our project was set to start.. as many of you may know, there was a world wide pool equipment shortage. He ordered ours 8 months in advance however, even ordering that far in advance there was still issues. The supplier he ordered from couldn’t get out pool heater in time so Ayrat called around and there was none in Ontario, so he found one in Montreal and drive there right away to pick it up so that our project wouldn’t be delayed.

We have very grateful and appreciative to have met Ayrat, his brother Rustam and the rest of his team. Not only are they great builders but they are very nice and caring people. After the project was complete.. our pool overflowed ( big rain storm) and my husband was traveling at the time and I didn’t know what to do, so I called Ayrat asking him how I should drain it and he said he would come that day to help me. And he did!( one thing to note is that he lives over an hour away with no traffic)

I payed this contractor in FULL as per contract as well as an incremental $2700.00 over the contract as he requested due to his contention that the job was more difficult than he anticipated.

Ayrat misrepresented himself as being a member of Landscape Ontario; as being a certified installer under the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI), and as being an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau.

In September 2020, Ayrat installed approximately 800 sf of Unilock patio stone. Nearly 30% of the stones have lippage greater than 10mm. He did not install the stones with the appropriate sand underlayment, instead he just used HPB gravel. Given that this is around a swimming pool this is a big stubbing hazard with wet feet.

The polymeric sand that he used as failed and there are weeds growing in between the stones. This shouldn't happen within only a few months. My patio looks like it is 5 or 6 years old.

Under the pool coping, the type S cement was not tooled properly and looks like a small child did the work. Ayrat acknowledged this was sub-standard and promised to come back in the spring of 2021 to make the correction. When I called him to remind him of his promise he would constantly defer and tell me he'd be coming in a couple of weeks. He finally came on the 5th of July to inspect but never returned the following day to do the work as promised. He then ignored all of my phone calls. I did the following:

1. Filed a complaint with LANDSCAPE ONTARIO. It turns out that he is not a member as he advertised.

2. I filed a complaint with ICPI. It turns out he is also not a member.

3. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. He did not respond to them through the complaint/arbitration process.

Ayrat has also failed to provide me with a paid in full receipt after I paid him in full.

He has taken down all his false credentials from his website and social media.

This is the fourth time I have used this Company for work around my home. The most recent was removing stones from an existing patio and replacing with new stones. The patio is large approximately 600 sq. ft and as usual Ayrat and his team worked and completed the job in their usual professional manner. I would not have any other Company do any work on my proper as I have always had full satisfaction with Ayrat and his team. I would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

In June 2020, we decided to invest in our backyard with a total remodel which included hardscape, landscape and an inground pool. After interviewing and assessing several contractors we decided to put our faith and trust into Canada’s Gardenland . When we first met Ayrat we were impressed by his honesty and openness and knew immediately he would be someone we could work with to transform our backyard into an oasis. We were right. We started off designing and planning the size of the pool, options available and which upgrade options were best suited for our plans. Ayrat , provided advise on pool design and how to best optimize the space. He always responded promptly to questions and was patient when explaining the process. Each crew that worked on this project were polite, friendly and professional. I was lucky enough to be working from home throughout the entire project and got to see how they transformed the backyard each step of the way. I was impressed by the way they communicated with us but also how they kept each other informed. Clearly a team with strong work ethics demonstrated daily by their attention to detail.
