We had a flood in our basement caused by a faulty faucet. A nightmare!! We called Benny at Restoration 1, and he was awesome!! He arrived at our home within an hour and a half from our initial call to him. Benny and his crew are extremely professional, knowledgeable, meticulous, and clean. These are all a "must" for us! We were most impressed with the time that Benny took to explain the steps required in restoring and repairing the area. We are so thankful that Restoration 1 took care of us. In an emergency situation such as ours, we needed a company to come in to ensure our safety and to make everything look as it did before the flood. Found our basement floooded after the last rain storm , witinin an hour , at 8pm at night , Benny and his crew rolled in and got the place under control. I discovered two weeks ago that a pipe leading to my outdoor tap had broken over the winter. When I turned the indoor tap on, water gushed out behind my basement wall. I called Restoration 1 Toronto and Eric and his crew came to my house that afternoon. The wall had to be demolished revealing some mould, very little insulation and, of course, a broken pipe. Over the next few days, workers replaced and reconfigured the water pipe, installed insulating, a vapour barrier, rebuilt the wall and painted it. The job was handled very professionally and quickly at a reasonable price. And I certainly appreciated that each day the work site was left neat and clean! I would definitely recommend Restoration 1.

We woke up to discover water and sewage in our basement this past summer. With a young child in the house, another baby on the way, and wall to wall carpet in the basement we knew we had to act fast to avoid mold growth. We called an emergency plumber to clear the drain to get the water out and he recommended Benny of Restoration 1 to us. Benny arrived within the hour and by the end of the day all of the damaged material was removed and multiple fans were set up to dry the studs. Benny took care of dealing with the insurance company and ensured everything went smoothly. The repair was delayed by the early arrival of our baby but Benny was patient with us and months later our basement is good as new!

We were given Benny's name when our basement flooded a few months ago. Benny came immediately and took care of everything. He was extremely reliable and professional and our basement was restored no time. When we had a similar issue a few weeks ago, again we called Benny. We were out of town at the time but he handled everything once again. He is dependable and reliable. It was a pleasant experience working with Benny, General Manager from company Restoration 1. He had responded to our emergency call (Friday after 9 PM) immediately and came over to our place in 40 minutes. During these 40 minutes he was constantly on the phone advising us about the first possible action to prevent water damage. After arriving he explained about the cause of the water leak and steps he will perform to clean up and dry the place. Benny estimated the best possible solutions to dry the water and remove possible causes for mold growing. He and his employee started to set up multiple pieces of the powerful and expensive equipment in the wet areas. There were many fans, heaters and dehumidifiers which worked during 72 hours non stop. The result was amazing and we were able to dry the area completely and prevent the mold growing.

Benny Machtinger and his team were great. They were quick to respond and assess the damage. Benny was very professional and took charge by knowing what needed to be done in order for us to sustain the least amount of damage from the water that was in our basement. He showed up when he was scheduled to come, he took our calls and messages and responded each time. He brought in all the necessary equipment and worked hard to do the least amount of secondary damage as they were taking apart the damaged areas of our basement. Benny was here with his crew and did the work he had set out to do in an efficient and professional way. He was also good at giving us advise on what to do after his work was done. When we needed to get in touch with Benny a couple of months after his part of the job was complete, he responded quickly and came by to see what he could do to help. We would highly recommend Benny and Restoration 1 to anyone who needs his services.
